The moment you've all been waiting for! My book, THEORETICAL AND HISTORICAL EVOLUTIONS OF SELF-DIRECTED LEARNING: THE CASE FOR LEARNER-LED EDUCATION, is now out in paperback! There are two major points the book makes: 1.) learner-led education has been around a long-time and predates what is often considered "traditional" education, and 2.) helping young people cultivate meaningful decision-making in their lives is key to human flourishing. I’m super appreciative of Caleb Collier’s timely addition to the body of work in support of learner-led education models. He makes the case that this is the true, “traditional” model of learning and that when our young people have access to it, they thrive! Looking forward to a deep dive with this book.
