Did you know that Michigan has some of the best sunrises and sunsets in the world and there's a reason for that. Michigan is located around the 45th parallel and because of our location we have longer twilight times. It means when the sun goes down, the show is about to begin because of the gradual angle of the sun. On recent trips we sat and watched the sunset expecting amazing colors in the sky, but the sun went down, we got a few minutes of color and then darkness. It made me realize we have something special here in our state. Do you have a favorite sunset spot around Michigan? I'm building a list of places to watch the sunset in 2025. ---------------------- Hi, I’m Russ - the “easy button” for your brand’s photography needs. Sunrises up on Alpine Ave are fantastic anytime of year

A lot of people don't know that Oval Beach in Saugatuck is one of the TOP sunset beaches in the world - That's one of my favorite spots, but pretty much anywhere on the Lakeshore gives my heart just as much joy.
Sunrises over Reeds Lake can be pretty incredible. They are especially spectacular in the fall.
Always have the best intel and I'm HERE FOR IT! Alright, give us a teaser -- what's the spot you're most excited to watch at in 2025?
Lake Michigan shore obviously. Grand Haven and Holland
Pioneer Park is a campground in Muskegon. They have great sunsets there!

6dThe lookout is a staple. The is a spot that curves on 196 that overlooks the city that is good. And you can't go wrong with the lake shore. Harder to get to but worth it- Pictured Rocks and South Manitou Island were amazing too.
