At Thriving Survivors, we know that supporting survivors means constantly evolving to meet their needs, especially as demand continues to rise. With 510 survivors currently on our waiting list, we are committed to finding new ways to reduce wait times and provide timely, compassionate support. We’re actively listening to survivor feedback to adapt our services. This year, we redesigned our Discovering Me programme, adding sessions on trauma’s impact on the brain, ensuring the support we offer resonates deeply with survivors’ experiences. As preferences shift toward online options, we’ve expanded our virtual support groups, creating accessible and comfortable spaces where survivors can connect and receive guidance. While the challenges are real, our commitment is stronger. With resilience, adaptability, and dedication, we are doing everything possible to ensure that every survivor feels heard, supported, and empowered. #ThrivingSurvivors #SupportAndEmpowerment #HealingJourney #CommitmentToCare #AccessibleCare

Did you know? The 28-day addiction treatment model isn’t based on science—it’s rooted in history and insurance coverage. The idea began in the 1950s, aimed at stabilizing alcohol addiction. Over time, it became the default for inpatient care because insurance companies agreed to pay for it. But addiction isn’t a one-size-fits-all issue, and recovery doesn’t have a set timeline. Every person deserves a treatment plan tailored to their unique needs, not an arbitrary calendar. It’s time to move beyond outdated models and ensure individualized care that supports long-term recovery. Let’s rethink how we approach addiction treatment—because recovery is personal, not prepackaged. #AddictionRecovery #TreatmentMatters #MoreThan28 #IndividualCare
The '28-day program' approach often fails to address the unique needs of each person in recovery. At More Than 28, we believe that a personalized, extended treatment plan is essential for genuine, lasting progress. Everyone's journey is different, and our commitment is to provide the tailored support necessary for each individual. Learn more about our approach at www.morethan28.com. 🌟 #addictionrecovery #compassion #addictionawareness #addictionsupport #morethan28 #youarenotalone #recoverycommunity #mentalhealth #personalizedcare

How Important is Trauma-Informed Care for Children in Residential Settings? When children have faced challenging experiences, especially in care settings, a trauma-informed approach to care can be life-changing. At bMindful, we work to create environments where children feel safe, valued, and empowered to heal. But what does trauma-informed care really mean? Trauma-informed care involves recognising the widespread impact of trauma and integrating this understanding into every aspect of a child’s support system. It means shifting from “What’s wrong with you?” to “What happened to you?”—a crucial difference that focuses on compassion, empathy, and understanding. By prioritising trauma-informed care, we strive to create spaces where children can grow, connect, and ultimately flourish. To learn more about our trauma-informed approach, read our blog "Exploring the Significance of Trauma-Informed Care and Evidence-Based Practice" here: https://lnkd.in/epdC39k9 #traumainformed #care #trauma #blog #support #residential #caresector
