I arrived early for an in-person interview a few days ago. It was a beautiful day, and I waited outside until it was time to walk in. It was then I saw a wild turkey come out of the brush to the side of me. It was limping and hopped over to me. I felt bad that the turkey was hurt, but I had an interview in a few minutes. It gobbled and clucked at me fiercely, and I saw its babies hiding in the brush behind it. As a parent, I knew that those baby turkeys needed their Mom! So I did what every parent would do, I scooped up the limping turkey and drove it to the vet. I called the company and told them I had to reschedule my interview because I was helping a sick turkey. They were NOT pleased but sometimes you have to follow your principles and do what's right. A week later I got a call from the company I was supposed to interview for. They said I got the job! The limping turkey was a test - and I had passed with flying colors! This is truly a Thanksgiving to be thankful for! #interview #pyshcology #humor
Congrats, but a test like that would leave a sour taste in my mouth - but maybe that's just me...
