Do not trade Nvidia. Just keep the shares. That is what I am doing. The same is true for Eli Lilly. Nvidia is close to a 3 trillion market cap level, close to overtaking Apple in total valuation, and not far from Microsoft. The Bank of Canada just cut interest rates from 5.25 % to 4.75%. The ECB will follow. The TLT ETF looks like it is breaking out to the upside, as I predicted some days ago. Tough times for the Bears. India: Election results will force Modi to strengthen the consumption part of the economy to become more attractive for the middle class again. I added to existing positions in Makemytrip before the US market opened.

NVIDIA proves it again with Q3 results. AI in full steam. Nvidia may well be a 10 Trillion USD Company 1) Q3 revenue is 35 billion USD, a 17% increase over the previous quarter and a 94% increase over the same quarter last year. Wall Street expected around 33 billion USD. This is a big beat. 2) Q4 revenue expected to be around 37 billion USD 3) Nvidia business operates at gross margins of 70% plus... 4) Nvidia stock is up 2,600% in the last five years and almost 200% in the current year Let this sink in!! Stock is a bit down after the results. It is possibly very temporary. (Not a financial advice)

Nvidia — the undisputed winner of the past year's AI stock boom — passed Apple to become the second-most valuable public company as of Wednesday's market close. The chipmaker's market cap passed $3 trillion for the first time, putting the company a hair above Apple and behind only Microsoft. Its stock, which has jumped more than 147% for the year, is the strongest force lifting the S&P 500. Nvidia's profit margins are the envy of the corporate world — it made $14.9 billion of net income on revenue of $26 billion last quarter, Axios' Felix Salmon writes. By contrast, Nvidia's net income was just $0.7 billion in the final quarter of 2022. Nvidia produces top-of-the-line chips needed to train AI models and for other cutting edge tech.

Nvidia exceeded investor expectations with its quarterly report, showcasing a remarkable increase in revenue for its data center division. Despite concerns about market cycles and competition, the company's strong earnings growth and high operating margins eased valuation worries. However, managing expectations remains a challenge amongst speculation about its future, with some investors betting on a significant stock price increase. While Nvidia's AI boom appears sustainable, speculation could lead to misjudgments.

Nvidia became the second most valuable company in the world on Wednesday afternoon as its market capitalization hit $3.01 trillion. With just another 5% move higher in its current share price, it will take away the crown from Microsoft and become the most valuable company. It might happen by the end of the week, before its 10:1 stock split on Monday. It became a $1 trillion company in May 2023, hitting $2 trillion in February this year, now $3 trillion just 4 months later. The company reported $14 billion in profit in May. Its AI accelerators make up between 70% and 95% of the market share for AI chips. Nvidia has plans to launch a new AI chip every year. It is the first company since 2000 to achieve this level of exponential growth without the network effects. https://lnkd.in/gzshT4tH

Pop… The largest loss *ever* was just recorded as NVIDIA declined USD 646 billion. Over 3 days NVIDIA has lost 13% of market value. To put things into perspective, the total Gross Domestic Product of Switzerland is USD 808 billion (source: Worldometers, 2024). Due to the heavy weighting of NVIDIA many of the US indices are also down. Since 2023, the “AI narrative” has driven much of the returns of the S&P 500 and NASDAQ. Certainly, AI will have a profound impact on all aspects of technology though do the current returns make sense with the Shiller Price/Earnings Ratio still at record highs? I’m sure many will be watching to see if this is a small pullback or something more severe. Please feel free to follow for daily short financial updates. Not financial advice of course 😊.
