What’s next for the #Influencer #Marketing Track? Are Max and I done with it⁉️ At The European Marketing Academy (EMAC) Conference I have been approached several times whether Dr. Maximilian Beichert and I will keep bringing together the community around influencer marketing. Of course we will! Influencer marketing, or the #creator #economy in general, is still in its infancy and so many new research directions emerge constantly. One, which will bridge domains in marketing research, is employees now actively being encouraged to becoming opinion leaders—and this will get the B2B domain excited and involved in the creator economy. Besides new directions, we finally see more and more publications on influencer marketing and special issues being set up, namely in IJRM (this year) and JAMS (next year). So what‘s our vision? We will most likely launch the Creator Economy EMAC SIG, organize two special sessions at the EMAC Conference as part of it, and keep curating a track with hand-picked presentations on the creator economy at the Marketing Science Conference. Off to Santorini and then Milan for two more exciting conferences‼️
