Do you treat your team enough? 🤔 Since moving to freelance working a few months ago, I've found myself with the time to delve deeper into further topics that really interest me. One of these is remote/hybrid working and the impacts this has on teams. Aside from writing about this in Remote Worker's Journal (my personal blogging endeavour), I've also become particularly interest companies' approaches to this and how they look after their teams, albeit remote or in-office. I'd love for my connections in senior positions in their organisations to complete the following survey that asks about team-building events or activities that you might already, or perhaps want to, provide for your team. There is always that one person at the #workplace that always has clear writings & error-free neat presentations. Sincerly, I admire them. I always what to know what #apps they use, I want to be in their circles because to me, they are goldmines. Then another that has errors in their writings all the time. They clearly show no #effort. Now, what we forget is that these mistakes can undermine one's #credibility. That's why attention to detail is really important. What we can do is that; 1. Double-check your work, I use Grammarly, I aslo paste my emails in Gemini AI to see what it has to add to make sure that my communication is clear. 2. I wonder why you still seat in meetings and don't take notes. 3. Utilize to-do lists and your Google calendar app to manage #tasks & #deadlines. 4. Ask one or two seniors at #work for constructive #criticism to identify areas for improvement. “Operate at peak human.” This ad stopped me in my tracks while I was walking to my gate yesterday. And I instantly smiled. Something about the phrase “peak human” feels possible and attainable. Vs. other messaging that suggest we function like we’re super-human. My next thought was about the customer research that must have gone into this message development. Plus, the empathetic marketers who understand that yes, work must get done (sometimes lots of it), and their tool is designed to help teams manage and optimize said work. But the people behind their tool are human — and that working at any rate beyond a human pace is unsustainable. But operating at peak human? Doable. Great job, Smartsheet! 👏🏾 Maybe you didn’t predict those few words would strike a (good) chord. But for people like me — who strive to do great work without the threat of burnout — they make us feel seen. Q: Is it giving you the same feels?
