Streaming is a method of transmitting or receiving data over a computer network as a steady, continuous flow. Since .NET 6, System.Text.Json has supported streaming, which, when combined with IAsyncEnumerable<T>, enables objects to be efficiently streamed to the consumer. Here's a demo where I have a #dotnet Console App (Client) and an #aspdotnetcore Web API (Server). Inside the API, I'm using MediatR's IStreamRequestHandler and AsAsyncEnumerable() from Entity Framework Core. AsAsyncEnumerable() is an extension method for IQueryable, facilitating the streaming of data asynchronously.

Recently I got asked: How fast can multi window apps be in case we are streaming #bigdata? The answer is simple: If we are using one app, which can span across multiple browser windows, we still only need to load data once for all participants. No local storage involved. 60 FPS are not a problem at all.
