What if "how" is more important than "what" when it comes to facing our societal challenges? For this question, Amit's recent episode with Nora Bateson is worth a listen. What if our current mindset keeps us focused on the parts rather than the whole. Is CO2 the core problem or a symptom? Should we focus on the problem or the symptoms? Can we truly "solve" anything by solving each part separately, or is everything connected as a complex living system? Is impact investing, climate funds, SDGs, IDGs etc. really tackling the whole or merely locking us onto only the parts? What are we missing here that might be right in front of us?

In terms of YOUR investments, Dan is definitely worth paying your time and attention to... Mother Tree's mission is to make it effortless for us all to choose greener options in life. Fortunately, we found that switching to align our investments to our personal values was much easier than we thought." And so they planted Mother Tree. Listeners to the Frances Fogel - Story Strategist podcast - as I - cannot easily find the time to research the impact of our choices. What’s the “hardest working $27B in the IRA?” If you agree with Robinson Meyer & Jesse Jenkins (and I often do), it’s the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund, which is just now starting to roll out. The challenge is that it will take extreme thoughtfulness and intentionality to ensure these dollars are accessible to entrepreneurs and can help address the capital gaps for technologies that are ready to scale. It’s what we’re going after at Elemental Impact, and why we opened applications for our initial $100m GGRF funding program last week. If you need a little introvert time in the middle of NY Climate Week (!), cozy up 🫖 and listen to this podcast 🎧 where the indefatigable Jahi Wise and I lay out the mechanics of GGRF and how we think it can make the most impact for companies and communities. https://lnkd.in/gd6UWNmB
