ARE YOU READY?!? Season 3 of the Elevate Youth Programming podcast starts July 10th at 9am ET with 6 new episodes released on Wednesdays! In episode 1, Youth Substance Use in the Digital Age, we sat down with Andra L. Wilkinson, PhD MSPH and Asari Offiong, PhD, MPH from Child Trends to discuss current trends around availability and access to substances and opportunities to address these concerns within youth-centered programming. During adolescence, risk-taking is a normative part of development. However, when youth engage in unhealthy risks, it presents challenges for their overall health and well-being. Substance use is a topic of great concern and is connected to sexual health, mental health, and even academic success for youth. It is important for trusted adults to be aware of current trends, perceptions, and realities of how substance use is woven into youth culture today. The Elevate Youth Programming podcast is hosted by Kineka J Hull, PhD, MS, MSPH and produced by Lauren Mangum. Developed by RTI International with funding from the APP Program in the Family and Youth Services Bureau's Division of Positive Youth Development, this initiative offers topics to provoke thought and provide youth-serving professionals with tips and strategies to enhance their work with youth. https://lnkd.in/gDWWkSd4

The unscripted programming on Sigmacarta Premium is designed to enable men to overcome arrested development and at worse the dark night of the soul. Our roster of programming that spans entrepreneurialism, fatherhood, marriage, health, love languages, spirituality and documentaries. Sigmacarta is our fans base, which is the true meaning of fanbase. By culminating the disciplines of coaches, therapists, consultants, psychologists, entrepreneurs and other experts, rounded off with recognisable and entertaining presenters we demonstrate how to adopt beneficial life systems into our every day routines. Self development programming makes up 40% of our programming and dramas, comedy and entertainment formats make up 60% of our content. All of our programming is specifically aimed at a global Black male audience. Specificity is universal because it's authentic, this is opposed to the tactic of trying to make our stories "universal" until they don't mean anything to anybody. We are catering to a huge hungry audience and Black men have the unique ability to make what they celebrate a universal destination of choice. As a destination for men, we provide a healthy demonstration through our programming of what it means to be a man capable of making a positive impact in his own life, his families and his community based on tactics he's able to adopt and apply to his everyday routine. Part of the hero's journey is identifying our north star and applying tried and tested tactics that bring us closer to becoming qualified to operate in our purpose.
