Expedition, Classic, or Luxury Cruising? What is the difference? Expedition cruising focuses on the ports, on the interaction you have with the area of the world you are exploring. Often these cruises include historians, biologists, or naturalists who interact with guests to enhance their voyage. The ships, while nice, are not usually luxurious but the shore excursions are next level. This is a great option for cruising with older kids/teens who love to dive in and explore. Classic cruising is big ships like Royal Caribbean, MSC, and Carnival. The focus is on the fun, family (or party!) atmosphere. The base price is affordable with lots of add ons available. While you do visit the ports, the experience is about the cruise with big shows, waterslides, and buffets. SilverSea, Regent, Cunard, and SeaDream are a few of the cruise lines offering luxury cruising. The ships are smaller but with more square footage per person so they feel larger. The dining and service are elevated, and often the cruises are all-inclusive (no extra drink packages!) and some even include shore excursions. While luxury lines are able to visit smaller, less touristy ports, enjoying the sailing is half of the luxury experience. If you have sworn off cruising as not for you, I challenge you to consider an expedition or small ship luxury cruise. And this is just for oceans! We haven't even begun to talk about river cruising! So which option is best for you??

What do you think couples really want on a Safari? I noticed that this has changed after the covid period, and couples were now more focused on meaningful experiences rather than typical luxury. I have also seen an increase in requests from agents in wanting immersive or regenerative travel, with couples looking for a deeper connection to nature during their romantic getaways. One of the key areas for me is to ensure that we have a balance to include all the "want to have elements" of a safari, but ensuring a truly immersive, nature-based experiences. I want clients to experience nature differently and be changed by it. Embracing and immersing oneself in nature can be incredibly fulfilling and grounding. I invite all agents to share this experience with their clients. Let's not do the ordinary Safari, let's go deeper and experience more.... really make an impact https://lnkd.in/d799ACb4

Icelanders have been known to make excuses about the weather to visitors. Often, we feel like the unpredictable weather changes are ruining the plans for tourists or that they don't get the full potential of their day because of them. But to the contrary, it's often when the weather is acting up that they get to see nature in its most raw form. And suddenly, the ever-shifting weather becomes an experience in itself. Like the day before yesterday, when our senior guide Jón Már stopped by Seljalands-waterfall (Seljalandsfoss) to witness this interaction of water and wind, resulting in this gravity-defying scene. The clients are left speechless, leaving with photo captures uniquely different from the ones most tourists experience in that location. It's in moments like this that you best understand the trade of a great guide: turning negatives into positives. This is why we are so proud of the team we have built around One Luxury, and we are honored that these highly talented and experienced people chose to work with us. This post is a shoutout to our team. Keep making these memories and continue going the extra mile. Together, we are ONE. #iceland #icelandtravel #icelandtrip #visiticeland #travel #nature #photography #landscape #reykjavik #travelphotography #oneluxuryiceland #luxurytransportation #luxurytravel #bespoketravel #icelandluxurytransport #specializedsecurity #coolcation #icelandcoolcation #waterfall #windywaterfall
