Stellar Blade is a game known for its combat mechanics and captivating soundtrack, but it needs to improve in other areas. The storyline is forgettable, and the characters are unremarkable. The protagonist, EVE, is more of an eye candy than a fully fleshed-out character. The game makes feeling emotionally engaged in supposedly serious narrative moments difficult. Exploration feels tedious due to uninspired level design and rehashed enemies, which need more depth and intrigue than similar games like Nier. While Stellar Blade is visually stunning, it severely lacks substance, forcing players to wade through mediocrity to experience fleeting moments of combat brilliance. #StellarBlade #Playstation #PS5 #Playstation5 #VideoGame #VideoGames

"The Theater" is a revolutionary fusion of RTS and FPS, that explores the harsh realities of war through first hand experience. This game is not meant to trivialize war, but rather to respect it. I am excited to announce that a friend of mine and I are currently leading work on a very ambitious game being built from the ground floor. This is a match-based, online war simulator that combines elements of first person shooter, and real time strategy games. It's purpose is to shed light on the harsh realities of warfare, emphasizing the inherent suffering and pain caused by it. Headway is already being made into the project. We have a website, an announcement trailer, and we will have an online proof of concept by July 4th. We have several passionate artists, animators, and programmers on board, putting their time and skills into this game. We are still in the very early stages of development, and there is still a lot of work to be done If we want to turn this idea into a reality. That is why we need you to help us get there. We are taking in applicants with any level of experience and are willing to teach what we know so that you can get involved with production as soon as possible. We are offering potential monetary compensations, as well as percentages of The Theater in exchange for services. You will also be part of a tight-knit community, and learn first-hand what it means to create a game. If you are interested in getting involved, or learning more about our project, there is much more information on our website at https://lnkd.in/eMpVmtyN. If you have any questions, concerns or feedback regarding our game, feel free to send me a DM on this profile or reach out to [email protected]. We are excited to continue working on this project, and we hope you can get involved with this game any way you can. -Dylan Panazzi (Lead developer and CO-owner of The Theater)

Games are a cultural phenomena. Very few have seen a good adaptation the the silver screen. Very few movies were well-adapted to games, but this is changing. This is the our first list of games that could turn into awesome movies. The first but not the last so, lets justify the choices: ▶ Bioshock: Amazing lore, amazing characters, amazing fantasy atmosphere, from the bottom of the ocean to flying cities, everything wrapped around a Decopunk world. 10/10 ▶ Hotline Miami: Crazy character build-ups, animals and humans. Eletric fast-paced soundtrack and 1980's Miami. 10/10 ▶ Red Dead Redemption 2: So good it makes you cry. Legendary western. 10/10 ▶ Dead Space: Awesome character, philosophical lore, Space Opera, Dead Space Opera. We need more than aliens, we need to suffer. Outstanding OST too. 10/10 Feel free to comment and tell us what you think. #gamedev #movies #gaming #entertainment

Demea, a mixed reality game recently launched for the Apple Vision Pro, represents a compelling evolution in tabletop role-playing games (RPGs). We consider this concept entirely viable. Unfortunately, the trailer does not clearly show how diligently the developers have explored the possibility of scaling objects within the game. However, the magic in such a game can be depicted with cinematic excitement and vividness, making each spell feel truly spectacular while retaining all the advantages of traditional tabletop RPGs. #DemeaGame #MixedReality #AppleVisionPro #RPG #DungeonAndDragons #ImmersiveGaming #CinematicMagic https://lnkd.in/d3wqX-uQ

Prime Video’s Secret Level is a new animated video game anthology series from the creators of Love, Death & Robots, set to premiere on December 10. It features 15 original short stories in iconic game universes from God of War to Pac-Man. The show, developed by Tim Miller’s Blur Studio and director Dave Wilson, was revealed at Gamescom, showcasing its varied art styles. I'm curious to see how Secret Level might introduce new audiences to iconic game titles, much like Amazon's Fallout series did. This might be the first AAA production 40k media created. Hopefully it can lead to a full fledged series or even movie. The list of IP to be featured thus far: • Armored Core • Concord • Crossfire • Dungeons and Dragons • Exodus • Honor of Kings • Mega Man • New World: Aeternum • The Outer Worlds 2 • Pac-Man • PlayStation (Highlighting various PlayStation Studios beloved entities) • Sifu • Spelunky • Unreal Tournament • Warhammer 40K

Game cinematics come in many different varieties depending on the game, target audience, and budget. Regardless of these factors, Magic Media delivers high-quality game cinematics for all our clients no matter what. Read our latest blog to find out more about the differences between game cinematics for AAA and indie projects, their common aesthetic qualities, why, ultimately, neither is better and how a game cinematic’s style should be inherited from the game for which it’s being created. https://lnkd.in/eum6usWJ #gamecinematics #gamesindustry #gamevfx

This object is a video game from 1982. Its purpose was to function as an interactive movie disc game which could be activated by inserting the disc into a VidMax product. The game could be played for hours, as 16 different mystery stories, each with a puzzling solution, could be played preferably by two or more players (great for parties/teams). The art of the cover makes great use of color and line, whether that be crisp or blurred. The vivid color choices and pop art-like qualities are telling of the popular artistic styles of the 80s. Can successful video games shift mediums? Fallout cleverly nods to its game elements in the television series, including character creation, side quests, and epistolary narrative. Here's how they did it. https://lnkd.in/gtWm6xVz

What happens when every decision we make is perfectly rational and computational? It sounds like another episode of The Decision-Making Studio's "Decision Reactions" in which I watch a video of a decision and rate its quality using our FOCUS framework. This one is from a scene from the fantastic 1983 film "War Games" Enjoy! #decisionmaking #decisions #decisionreactions
