When we talk about learning and development, we often mean training and development. These two terms are different. Learning and development (L&D) is a broad set of activities organizations design to improve employee skills and competencies. Training is a part of L&D that focuses on teaching specific skills, knowledge, and attitudes. L&D is ongoing, while training is one-and-done. As professionals, we prefer learning and development to build our strengths in our field and training embedded in the L&D.
