I've done all the groundwork for you.   The Adobe Summit (TAS2010) 2024 - It's happening in Vegas, March 26-28, with a little pregame on the 25th. They're bringing in the big guns from Adobe, Delta, and GM. It's like the Oscars for the digital experience crowd. Plus, there's an online option if you can't make it to Sin City.   MicroConf Growth 2024 - April 21-23 in Atlanta. This one's for the startup hustlers in the SaaS world. Rand Fishkin and Rob Walling are going to drop some insights on scaling the biz. Sounds like it's gonna be lit.   Business of Software Conference Europe 2024 - Taking a trip across the pond to Cambridge, UK, on March 25-26. It's where the SaaS founders and execs hang out to swap war stories and nerd out on software strategies.   TECHSPO Los Angeles 2024 - April 11-12 in LA is where it's at for tech expo junkies. Think of it as the Comic-Con for AdTech, MarTech, and SaaS innovations. It's a great spot to see what's next in tech and do some serious networking.   The thread connecting these events is a testament to the SaaS industry's ecosystem — an arena of innovation and strategic growth. 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐧 𝐝𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐞, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐢𝐭'𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐚 𝐛𝐚𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 👀 Last week, I had the opportunity to organise two distinct events. Each offered its own experiences and insights. The first event, organized with Regina Overchyk, was kept intimate to foster deep connections among attendees. The second event, organised with BlackInTech Berlin and supported by Vera Kämpfer and the #ImpactHub, had fewer attendees than expected despite careful planning. As an organizer, it's common to anticipate a large crowd and feel disappointment when the turnout doesn't meet expectations. 😥 However, these moments reveal the true essence of the event. It's not about the numbers, but the quality of interactions and shared experiences! What struck me were the heartfelt messages received after the event. Attendees expressed joy and gratitude for the experience, reminding me that organizers' (or founders) perceptions and expectations often differ significantly from those of attendees (or customers). These experiences underscored a fundamental truth: 👉 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐲: Numbers may seem indicative of success, but the depth of connection and individual impact truly matter. 👉 𝐋𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐬 𝐊𝐞𝐲 : Feedback serves as a compass for future endeavors, highlighting strengths and opportunities for growth. 👉 𝐄𝐦𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲: Each event and attendee brings a unique perspective and set of expectations. This diversity enriches the experience for everyone. 👉 𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬: Real connections are forged through authenticity and empathy, not through fancy setups. After all, it's not about the numbers - it's about the meaningful connections we build and the impact we create together.

Incredibly powerful approach by Dash0 to go out as early as possible to seek real-world feedback for its to-be-released product and to test its hypothesis. Pushing your vision out there on conferences or on other venues in very early stages of your startup is priceless, since people usually love to give feedback. However, I'm always a little bit hesitant, when it comes to usually expensive booths at exhibitions or conferences, if you're in a pre-funding or early funding (Angel/Pre-Seed) stage. If you do that, you should really make sure that your target group (and/or investors) are attending the event as well to get the most out of it. Another very promising approach to seek feedback and even prove demand for your product is to pre-sell your product. Once you demand money for something and people are willing to pay for it, even without getting the service/product right away, you can easily check, whether you're on the right path. Plus, you learn to sell your product (and vision) and generate super valuable traction (probably the most valuable traction at all) which is then crucial for your further fundraising process.
