I find it comforting when the things I have been talking about for the past 6+months start to become reality, no one has a crystal ball and predicting what will happen next in the Gen AI space is a hard thing to do but top of my list of things that will start to be important is covered in this article. The number of people using ChatGPT and other artificial intelligence products is soaring. The rate of improvement for the basic building blocks underpinning them appears to be slowing down, though. The situation has prompted OpenAI, which makes ChatGPT, to cook up new techniques for boosting those building blocks, known as large language models, to make up for the slowdown. #AI #Innovation #MysticMeg #GPT #GenAI #PredictiveAnalytics #DataDan

The next wave of innovation in the LLM #AI will be RAG inside company proprietary information, not data but information. It is why companies like Glean proposition are so powerful. Closed system, secure RAG enablement of proprietary information using foundational LLM like ChatGPT or Claude to format and structure the responses. I suspect this innovation cycle will be much shorter than we have seen in the past. Being AI Group David M. Nyssa Waters https://lnkd.in/gx_nQtCG

ChatGPT (OpenAI) was most folks' introduction to Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) and Large Language Models (LLMs), but the concept of AI has been around since at least the 1950s (Google: Turing Test). There are subsets of AI that are increasingly applicable to a broad swath of business problems across varied industries. If you think AI isn't relevant to your work, I'd urge you to reconsider by asking yourself the following questions: 1. What in my current workflow involves human decision-making? 2. What is the amount of time in my workflow that humans spend making those decisions? 3. What is not optimized about my process(es)? The first step is to draw out a process flow diagram (it doesn't have to be fancy!), and include labelled nodes at each decision point. Add the amount of time someone spends at that node either performing the work physically or thinking about the work. You could add time spent by your customers waiting at that node as well. Look at your lovely diagram. Then ask the questions above again. This isn't about removing humans from the loop overall, it's about optimizing their time so that decisions needing a human get a human, and those that could be made by a well-trained model get that instead. #explainlikeim5 #artificialintelligence #aiapplications #machinelearning #aimadeeasy

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has already become an integral part of our daily lives, ranging from handling mundane tasks to providing personal assistance. A major leap occurred with the launch of ChatGPT by OpenAI, an AI capable of comprehending human languages. While we now have AI that can 'read,' but what about an AI that can 'see'?? AI capable of understanding images has been around for quite a while. However, these AIs are often limited to their designated tasks. Therefore, the next logical step would be to develop AI that can perform multiple tasks. Multimodal models that can learn from various input formats such as text, image, and audio, are a step in the right direction. These models learn to understand the input from varying modalities in data which enables them to handle complex and previously deemed impossible tasks such as summarizing business insights from complex graphs, searching through numerous presentation pages for specific information, and extracting information from images. In this article, experts from the Data Research & Consulting team at Sertis will introduce you to the power and new possibilities of multimodal models, as well as example use cases. https://lnkd.in/gfgHfBdq Subscribe to our Sertis Medium account or visit the Sertis AI Research tab (https://lnkd.in/gpBZuW6E) on our website for the upcoming well-crafted articles that will take you further into AI, ML, Computer Vision, Data Science world, and so on. #Sertis #AIEngine #multimodal #AIResearch

GPT-4o Advanced Voice Mode is rolling out in multiple languages. After the wow effect do we had to start worrying about the implications of this whole new way of interaction between humans and machines? OpenAI themselves have raised concerns. During testing, they noticed something interesting—people started treating ChatGPT like it was more than just an AI. Some even said things like, “This is our last day together.” It made me wonder: are we getting too comfortable with AI? Are we starting to replace real human connections with digital ones? The more human these interactions feel, the more we might trust the AI too much. OpenAI has pointed out that this could change the way we interact with others, maybe even influence our opinions without us realizing it. Don’t get me wrong—I’m all for innovation. Voice Mode is an incredible tool, especially for making things faster and more engaging. But we need to stay aware of the bigger picture. AI is a tool, not a replacement for real relationships. So, what’s next? I think the future is about balance. We can enjoy all the benefits of AI, but we need to keep asking the right questions and not lose sight of the human side of things. What do you think? Are we heading toward emotional reliance on AI, or is this just a tech buzz? #AI #GenAI #LLM #OpenAI #GPT4 #Innovation #HumanConnection #AdvancedVoiceMode #ArtificialIntelligence

Future of AI will mean having a Ph.D. army in your pocket Fans and foes of generative AI believe the biggest, most powerful AI models, including ChatGPT, will operate with the intelligence of a legit Ph.D. student as soon as next year. “Why it matters: AI has gone from high schooler to college grad to mediocre Ph.D. student so fast that it's easy to miss the profound implications of having such scalable intelligence in the hands of everyone.” The big picture: Eventually, "we can each have a personal AI team, full of virtual experts in different areas, working together to create almost anything we can imagine," OpenAI CEO Sam Altman wrote this past week in a manifesto called "The Intelligence Age." https://lnkd.in/eCw4HRUm

LLM's impact in business settings up until now has mostly been limited to human transactions delivering point solutions like content generation or search. The advent of large action models (LAMs) is set to change that. The combination of LAMs and LLMs will prove to be the missing link that makes AI a true game-changing technology for business workflows and decision making in the coming years. Prompts to LLMs will generate a series of actions reflecting chain of thought, and LAM with goal-driven agents drives the action, resulting in much lower human interaction. Read my just-published post on the 3Pillar Global site for more on why this will be a powerful blend that shapes the future of solid applications of AI, providing the foundational building blocks for companies to utilize AI to develop innovative new products and services. Don't hesitate to reach out to find out more about how 3Pillar can help you navigate this shift. https://lnkd.in/ecGxuWKu #AI #artificialintelligence
