This video is a Masterclass in marketing. This is my biggest takeaway: "Sometimes the thing you are trying to do isn't as far away as you think but the change you need need to make is where you are, not what you are doing because the right environment opens you to the right networks, it brings you into the right conversations & it puts you in the consideration mind space of people who can fundamentally change your trajectory. So it's very important for people to be intentional about being in the right environment" This blew my mind. Thanks Coach Thembekwayo:-) Show less

Have you ever taken the Myers-Briggs test? What about the Enneagram? Personality types, like an ENFP or an Enneagram 2, can give you a lot of insight into how you act and why. You might even introduce yourself as a “type,” so people know what to expect from you. Did you know brands use something similar? Brands like Nike, Dove and Apple, all have a brand archetype. Brand Archetypes are like personality types for your brand. Famous psychologist Carl Jung conceptualized the twelve main Brand Archetypes: 1. Innocent 2. Sage 3. Explorer 4. Outlaw 5. Magician 6. Hero 7. Lover 8. Jester 9. Citizen 10. Caregiver 11. Sovereign 12. Creator Brand archetypes help you know your brand on a deep level, align leaders, teams and organizations, and clarify brand-related decision-making internally (“What would The Explorer do?”). It also influences brand messaging and your visual identity while keeping your marketers on the same page about who you are if you had a personality. We often times select a brand archetype for our clients to help clarify who they are in the story, and we use it as a filter for their brand messaging and visual identity. Archetypes are just one component of a holistic brand strategy, but they’re definitely fun and helpful at the same time! If you were a brand (or if you have a brand), what would yours be? What role does authenticity play in today’s digital landscape? The pressure to present a perfectly curated image online is ever-present, but this article presents an interesting perspective. It discusses the balance between authenticity and the polished content that often dominates social feeds. In a world where followers crave connections, being genuine can foster trust and build stronger relationships. The idea that imperfections are more relatable makes me wonder if we should embrace our own authenticity more openly. Have you found that being real resonates better with your audience? I’d love to hear your thoughts! https://lnkd.in/gyP_i7Ns

Yesterday we had yet another exciting session of the FiresideChat by Mwale.M.Tembo CA(ZM),CGMA,ACMA,FZICA,BAA,IASBC,MIODZ this time we had Ndela Sichizya a seasoned marketing professional #PersonalBranding was the topic of the day and the speaker brought 🔥 to the chat. As usual a very insightful and thought provoking time was had, my big take away are the 4 powers one must possess to creat a successful brand; 1. Moral Power - referring to the experience and past history, which should be clean and able to speak for it self. Your experience should speak for you 2. Mental Power - having a strong mind and focusing on what you want to achieve 3. Spirit Power - God first, and every other thing will fall in place 4. Physical Power - appearance matters, maintaining a certain look that differentiate you from others (avoid been a copy cat) In the end he emphasised the need of becoming a Purple Cow of your field. Have you ever seen a Purple Cow? - A Purple Cow would definitely catch your eye in a field of plain brown ones!

Growing up in Russia, I learned a lot from my grandmother (my Babushka). She was tough, didn’t take excuses, and made the best borscht you could imagine. 🍲 And believe it or not, those same principles apply to marketing: If it’s broken, fix it. No point in crying over a failed campaign—just find what went wrong and tweak it. Patience is key. Just like waiting for borscht to simmer, results take time, but the wait is worth it. Add a pinch of love. Whether it’s an ad copy or client pitch, if you don’t believe in it, neither will anyone else. Marketing can be complicated, but the basics remain simple. If you approach it with a Babushka’s touch, you’re bound to succeed. 😉 How do you apply life lessons to your work?" #LifeLessons #Marketing
