It's time to change the way we talk to each other. It's time to probe for understanding more, and react less. It's time to learn to sit in the nuance and complexity of people's experiences, identities and how they shape their worldview, and operate in binary, 'black-or-white', 'good-or-bad', 'right-or-wrong' thinking less. It's time to stop walking on eggshells and create environments with enough psychological safety where people can genuinely disagree with one another without fear of retribution, judgment, shame or backlash. It's time to create work environments where conflict is actually welcomed and encouraged, because it's seen as the powerful catalyst for growth that it truly has the potential to be when navigated thoughtfully. Does any of this resonate with you? Let's learn, unlearn, reflect, strategize, and evolve together this Wednesday. “The most common way people give up their power is by thinking they don’t have any.” —Alice Walker Alice Walker's profound assertion encapsulates a universal truth about self-empowerment. This sentiment emphasises a psychological barrier where individuals underestimate their influence and capabilities. Society structures, cultural norms, and personal insecurities often reinforce the belief in powerlessness. However, recognising one's inherent power is transformative. It begins with self-awareness, acknowledging personal strengths, and understanding that every action and choice can impact one's environment. People can initiate change, challenge injustices, and lead more fulfilling lives by reclaiming this power. Walker’s words serve as a call to awaken our potential, urging us to break free from the confines of self-doubt and to embrace the power within. #power #strength #capability #success

Relationships... boundaries are not barriers; they're the very framework that enables us to thrive. 🌿 Setting clear boundaries is akin to drawing a map that guides others on how to respect our space, time, and energy. It's about communicating our needs and limits, ensuring mutual respect and understanding in every interaction. Today, let's embrace the wisdom: "Boundaries protect, not isolate; respect them to thrive." By honoring our own boundaries and those of others, we cultivate a culture of respect, enhancing our collective ability to grow and succeed. #PersonalBoundaries #Respect #ProfessionalGrowth #SelfCare #HealthyBoundaries

‘Sensitives’ is a psychological term that describes people who are especially aware of and feel the world around them. 70% of them are introverts. Vincent Van Gogh and Steve Wozniak are just two of the many examples of creative geniuses who share this profile. Not only did they create but they transformed their chosen area of work. As a creative person, is this you? When is it good enough - do you only want to share work when it’s at the level that you are happy with? Do you find it very difficult to cope with any kind of conflict situation? And at an organisational level how can businesses adapt to harness the powerful talents of sensitive introverts? #leadershipcoaching #performancecoaching https://www.openei.co.uk/

I found the (below URL link) reading to be conceptually on target. Please read it and its entirety, then read 1 Peter 3:11-13 (pay attention to verse 12). If only those of us who can or are in a position to would create environments for others "on the verge" of growth & greatness to continue to strive & thrive as you mentor them...organizations/businesses would function in full equilibrium, not peaks & valleys throughout the life of an organization. Understand, that this is a broad context...Biles was not threatened by her peer (her understudy), instead, she invited her closer to encourage her and build her up! Partner & practice with her...as she helped reshape & build her teammates/peers' confidence! Are we as civilized humans that petty, that helping someone else grow will stunt your personal/professional growth? Selfishness is temporal and shows one's level of emotional intelligence or lack thereof. My point, mentor those younger than you. Oddly, someone thought enough of you to help you grow, because contrary to how you come off you DID NOT get to your position/level solo...someone poured into you. As humans, we get chances daily or for some, one chance in a lifetime to "do good" (1 Peter 3:11-13). You do your part, God will do the rest, just do your part!!! #lookatHisgreatness #blessings #manifestations https://lnkd.in/g6jsASXp

Who were you before the world told you what you are? Before the world told us what we are, we simply were; ourselves, existing without the need for meaning or justification. Culture, with all its constructs and rules, imposed definitions and hierarchies that often serve more to confine than to illuminate. Who determines what is better or right? Are you completely sure your definition of right and wrong is the true way? Lions don’t lecture leopards on how to live their lives, even though they are both cats, because they don’t need to; their existence is valid without commentary. Humans, in their obsession with control, label and define, believing they elevate when, in reality, they diminish. Ascribing meaning doesn’t always enrich, it alters, sometimes irreparably. The greatest harm we do is insisting that everything must be defined in terms of our own understanding. Sometimes, the truest state of being is to leave things untouched, unruined by the burden of interpretation.

In life and in our careers, the principle of reciprocity is often underestimated. What we put out into the world, whether it's kindness, effort, or expertise, has a way of finding its way back to us in unexpected and meaningful ways. 🚀 Effort and Initiative: Taking initiative and putting in the effort doesn't just benefit the immediate task at hand—it builds a reputation for reliability, competence, and dedication. These qualities are noticed and rewarded, leading to new opportunities and advancements. 💡 Expertise and Knowledge: Sharing knowledge and expertise not only helps others grow but also enhances our own understanding. As we contribute to the collective pool of knowledge, we become known as valuable resources in our fields, opening doors to collaboration and mentorship. 🌈 The Power of Integrity: Upholding integrity in all our actions, even when no one is watching, is paramount. Trust is the foundation of any successful endeavor, and it's earned through consistent honesty, accountability, and transparency. ✨ Embracing Growth: Every experience, whether positive or challenging, offers an opportunity for growth. Embracing these moments with an open mind and a willingness to learn not only enriches our personal and professional lives but also positions us for continued success. As we navigate our journeys, let's remember that the energy we invest in ourselves and others will inevitably circle back to enrich our lives in ways we may not foresee. Let's strive to be conduits of positivity, growth, and generosity, knowing that everything we do truly does come back to us. #Reciprocity #ProfessionalGrowth #Kindness #Integrity #CareerDevelopment #LinkedInCommunity #Happymonday
