My conversation with Gary Shapiro of Consumer Technology Association highlights one of the most important factors that enable companies and leaders to succeed: the ability to adapt (or pivot). When I took over The Food Institute in January 2020, I had to reimagine what a traditional food and beverage trade publication could look like in a #pandemic era. What transpired over the next 5 years was one of the most transformative periods in the company's 90+ year history.
