Business For Good Network (BFGN)’s Post

In the context of next week's webinar with Timothy O'Brien about #ImpactMeasurement (https://lnkd.in/ghSprfyW), we wanted to spotlight a throwback episode of Impact Boom's podcast (#BFGNPartner) with Karen Mahlab AM from Pro Bono Australia. During this episode, Karen invited us to think about the intangibles, those positive effects that a project has on society that are real but hard to measure: 💬 "If those intangibles are connection, compassion, kindness, or a sense of belonging, what value do we put on that?" You can listen to the episode here ➡ https://lnkd.in/g5J3a-rf) Measuring our project's impact can get a bit tricky, and that's why it is so important to define a good framework that allows us to get as close as possible to the reality of it. As it's been said in business for ages, you can't improve what you can't measure. Why should this only apply to metrics such as subscribers, leads, or revenue? Making business for good business as usual won't be possible if we don't commit to measuring impact the same way we measure growth. Because is growing without understanding our impact even something we can afford nowadays? #BusinessForGood #CSR #SocialEnterprise #SocialImpact #Changemakers
