- 3s How do you explain 1: A assisted dying bill being introduced as a "private member bill" in the house of lords by non elected members with no public recourse. 2; A almost identical assisted dying bill introduced in the house of commons in a "private members bill" , although there was no mention in the labour party, now governments manifesto to do so? 3:At the same time another "private members bill" was introduced in Scotland parliment , with no knowledge of clerk cost since 2015 they don't count it . 4: At the same time by process public petitions have blocked a referendum on assisted dying in the UK and Scottish parliament by default and design . How do the public call a general election or a referendum when elected and non elected members believe they are no longer accountable to anything other than a vote every 4 years, , with no Nolan principles attached because parliment has become so weak, it has the power to ignore the public and replace integrity engagement with media and marketing perception management . Why is there a fall in voting turn out , I suggest the inequality of arms of points 1,2,3and 4. Does your vote really count?
