Customer onboarding in SaaS isn’t just a one-time setup—it’s a strategy. Here’s why we transformed ours and what it taught us about empowering clients. Early on at Taskmonk, we thought, “Let’s just get clients set up as quickly as possible.” We’d guide them through every step, do the setup for them, and answer every question. It worked for a while—clients felt taken care of. But there was a big downside: our support team was buried in requests because clients weren’t fully equipped to use the platform on their own. Every change or new feature meant more support calls. So, we reimagined our approach. We created a structured, month-long onboarding program that focuses on teaching clients everything they need to know to be self-sufficient. Now we have a structured onboarding process after they sign up and clients love it. They know it’s a valuable investment in their success. Here’s what we saw: ↪ Stronger Client Success: Clients get hands-on training, reducing their reliance on support.
