Think you have a breakthrough business idea? Then read "Pattern Breakers", Mike Maples, Jr and Peter Ziebelman This book will press you to think hard about your idea and its potential Pattern Breakers highlights the near certainty that your startup will have to pivot at some point As a founder and investor, it encourages you to be wary of the highest-level summaries of many founder success stories With hindsight, the success is attributed to skill, intuition, and determination External inflections that were a part of their massive success aren't featured Great example - you will not find the iPhone 4S mentioned in the AirBnB story on the How I Built this podcast or Sequoia's podcast "Crucible Moments" But it was fundamental to the existence of the business Great for both the aspiring startup founder and the innovators in large organizations #ScottTips Driving Forward

Emakase team would like to extend our sincere thanks to the guest speakers for sharing their untold stories and to our audience for supporting this inspiring journey. The journey of a founder often begins with the desire to turn dreams into reality. However, the first barrier we may face is the fear of the unknown. Once we make decisions that will impact the business, more questions arise. Throughout Behind That Chair, we have acknowledged the critical role of mindset in addressing these questions and failures. Failure is not the end, but rather an opportunity for growth. While there may be no universal formula for success, persistence and determination in pursuing dreams serve as the driving force that enables founders to face the obstacles ahead. To earn a seat at the table in the startup community, to secure "That Chair", for our “Insiders” is not just about professional achievements but also about cultivating personal values. How do I recognize companies that are winning here (or anywhere)? They did their homework before going to LinkedIn, and they clearly stand out for the right reasons. They have POV, and they know that it takes time to get to platform content fit, so they try out things based on the homework done (they know their customers). I said a lot here in this video below, and I said a lot on a Rogue Startups podcast talking with Craig Hewitt. Watch the video, let's chat in the comments, and find the full episode there, too. It's 10:33 PM here, tomorrow's a big workshop with the executive board of a 24 billion dollar company, but it's too hot, and I can't sleep. Join me to chat in the comments, and share this damn it.

Sometimes, we wake up and ask ourselves, “Why are we doing this? Should we stop?” And then something magical happens. When you start working on something out of passion, you find yourself able to silence all the noise that comes up from time to time. The CTO Show With Mehmet Gonullu is no different. While for some, this may be just a phase that passes with time, I have tested myself extensively to see how far I want to continue doing this. The turning point for me was realizing that I am not doing this for my own fame or to show off. I believed and still believe that sharing insights and knowledge is the perfect way to inspire others. And the best way to see that what you do matters is with numbers. Last year, the podcast was in the global top 10% by Listen Notes. Today, it is in the top 5%, according to the website: “This podcast is one of the top 5% most popular shows out of 3,378,066 podcasts globally, ranked by Listen Score (the estimated popularity score).” The podcast’s ultimate goal is to be a way for me to give back and contribute to fostering the startup and tech community, build connections, and leave an impact. Thank you to everyone who supports and encourages me. #Startups #Tech #Inspiration #Innovation #Entrepreneurship
