Live in the #WashingtonDC area? Want to learn more about the first #DemocracyFestival in the #DC region, and how you or your organization can be involved? Join Learning Life for our next #DMV #Democracy #Festival planning meeting tonight/Tuesday, July 9, 8:00-9:30pm ET, via this Zoom: https://lnkd.in/ei7tMUpy More about DemFest below. BE PART OF THE DMV DEMOCRACY FESTIVAL Dance, flowers, marijuana, beer and wine all get #festivals. If democracy is so important to Americans, why don’t we have democracy festivals every year in towns and cities across the country? If Washington DC is the capital of our country, and democracy is central to American freedom, why do we have folk, kite flying, and cherry blossom festivals, but no democracy festival? In this election year, with democracy at stake, Learning Life, a DC-based nonprofit, is organizing the first DMV Democracy Festival or DemFest, tentatively scheduled for Saturday, October 19. We’re aiming for a festival with a range of engaging activities for youth and adults, including arts performances, exhibits, game rooms, workshops, round-chair discussions, a youth citizen assembly on mental health, and a democracy market. More about DemFest here: https://lnkd.in/dQNq2T6B If you and/or your organization would like to be involved in DemFest in any of the above or other ways, please fill out our brief DemFest Partner Survey now: https://lnkd.in/eB7WPDyg We'll then email you updates, including info on Zoom and in-person planning meetings upcoming you can attend to get details, ask questions, and figure out how you and/or your organization can be involved. If you'd just like to attend DemFest in Oct, and want updates, RSVP here: https://lnkd.in/eMFqBMXa

The speaking proposal process for the 2025 SXSW Conference launches on Tuesday, June 25 and extends through the end of the day on Sunday, July 21. As in previous years, the PanelPicker interface facilitates all speaking proposals. This interface empowers anyone in the community (i.e., anyone online) to enter an idea for next year's Conference -- which reflects our ongoing commitment to showcasing new / up-and-coming / often under-represented voices at SXSW. panelpicker.sxsw.com/about Learn how you can create a successful PanelPicker proposal by attending a special summer edition of Tacos & Topics at 8 am CT on Thursday, June 27 at the SXSW offices at 1400 Lavaca in Austin. https://lnkd.in/gWFnVabS If you can't be in Austin to attend that event, then perhaps the PanelPicker Best Practices / AMA at 11 am CT on Thursday, June 27 will work better for you. What Hugh Forrest is providing here is so important. Having the privilege of being an advisor for SXSW for over a decade, I cannot stress enough how important it is to understand how to represent what you want to present in the PanelPicker. It's a gift you're providing to attendees, make sure you take full advantage of your primary channel to make that gift a reality. Cannot wait for SXSW 2025 and I hope you are all on stage! #sxsw, #sxsw2025, #PanelPicker, #speakingopportunities,

Insight: If your offerings are "in person" (events, concerts, courses, activations, etc), in most cases there are at least two different booking mindsets. They sound like this: "I have time this weekend, what's there to do?" "I like things like this, when can I experience them?" Use your website to empower visitors to view your offerings from both of these perspectives. We've implemented things like personalization on many sites to address this, however... simply adding filters & categories to your calendar based on the interests your audience has is an EASY WIN you can do right now.
With so many exciting programs, Parker Arts needed a way to keep their events up-to-date and promote them to their community. 🎫🎭 We led the team through a series of strategic workshops to understand their audience and build a user-friendly calendar with custom filtering. This streamlined system prioritizes the most important information for patrons, making it easier for them to choose and purchase tickets. 📅 #BuiltByClique

⏳ Your event's attendees' time is precious. Yet your needs to collect metrics on their engagement with your event to prove ROI are ever-growing. How can you strike the balance between not wasting a second of your attendees' time while also collecting rich data to show ROI and inform your team about which programming choices "worked" and which did not? How can you ensure that your attendees get the most out of their experience by engaging with the content and experiences most relevant to them? By making them feel known in a sea of people, like a VIP? How can you ensure that your valued sponsors get the most bang for their buck at your event? And all the while, reduce your costs significantly to boost the event's ROI? See below for answers to all these questions and how Greet can help you solve these varied event challenges.
