Motioneer crew, it can be a lonely biz WFH. Creating a collab has helped me feel more connected to my peers, to those behind me and to the bunch up ahead. You never know what benefits and opportunities could land in front of you. A few collab gains I’ve made so far: Being matched with fabulous sound designers (hat-tip to John Green for reaching out). Pushing software chops in the direction I want. Creating work I want for the reel. Having an accountability crew to give you that kick. With Father's Day approaching this weekend, here's a throwback to our campaign for The Perfume Shop last year and 3 things we think made it successful 👇👇 1) CGI MAGIC ✨ CGI marketing campaigns have been trending massively, especially in the beauty and fashion industries. Remember Maybelline's Sky High lash campaign featuring the London Underground or elf cosmetic's recent CGI pimple ad with Mt. Rushmore? 💄 🚇 What can we learn from this? Moving with the times is crucial. These campaigns are creative, funny, memorable and their high-quality photo-realism often leaves people questioning if what they see is real. They get people talking and sharing. 2) HUMOUR 🤣 Who doesn't love a good dad joke? They’re universally relatable - whether you roll your eyes, laugh with shame or genuinely love them. Either way, it gets a reaction out of people and leaves a lasting impression. 3) ENGAGING FORMAT 📽 We turned this into a SERIES of short-form videos that were released periodically in the month leading up to Father's Day. This approach kept the content fresh and built anticipation, consistently capturing attention with varied, entertaining scenarios. SO...
