The School Teams AI Collaborative is bringing together school teams to explore AI-enabled instructional practices. Three educators shared their instructional strategies during the Collaborative’s kick-off convening in Denver this fall. 🍎 Jennifer Kosloski, a teacher at Valley New School, has students leverage AI to develop confidence in their ability to direct meaningful conversations with experts and deepen their understanding of key concepts, enriching their projects with real-time insights and perspectives. Appleton Area School District 🍎 Marquitta Pope, a teacher at United Charter High School for the Humanities II, expands access for multilingual learners using AI tools that translate captions for videos into each student's native language, also giving her a more accurate assessment of her students’ academic abilities. New Visions for Public Schools 🍎 Zach Kennelly, a teacher at DSST Public Schools, uses AI for purposeful efficiency, creating time and space to foster creativity, deeper learning, and fulfillment — not just for students and teachers, but for the community at large. Learn more about these strategies in the blog post below. The Collaborative is a partnership between Leading Educators and The Learning Accelerator. We will share promising practices and insights around AI-enabled instruction developed by Collaborative members throughout 2025: https://loom.ly/nLNwu50 #edchat #edtech #AIinEducation #edleadership

🍎 Attention Teachers, School Administrators, and Curriculum Designers, As a soon-to-be-minted educator about to cross the threshold into my own classroom, I'm eager to delve into the potential of artificial intelligence. I'm reaching out not just to share an idea but to seek your wisdom and firsthand insights. 🤖 Imagine integrating a specially designed ChatGPT-4 interface into our classrooms. This isn't just any AI; it's one that can be meticulously tailored by educators themselves. The goal is to foster an interactive learning environment where the AI assists in nurturing the curiosity and intellect of our students. 💭 The possibility of a custom Generative Pre-trained Transformer (GPT) is particularly intriguing. It offers a spectrum of advantages: - It can be fine-tuned to align with specific curricular goals and age-appropriate content. - It creates a safe, controlled space for students to engage in critical thinking and explore complex ideas. - It opens up avenues for simulated conversations with figures from history, literature, science, and beyond. This premium feature would, of course, require our schools to host the AI – a commitment to advancing our educational infrastructure. I'm reaching out to gather your experiences and opinions: - Have you incorporated such technology into your learning environments? - What impact has it had on student engagement and learning outcomes? - How do you envision AI could be woven into our teaching practices? Your insights will be incredibly valuable as I step into the classroom, eager to blend time-honored teaching practices with cutting-edge technology. Let's share knowledge and explore the frontiers of educational technology together. #EducationTechnology #TeachingInnovation #AIinEducation #EdChat #FutureReady #CCSDfam

Has anyone had the chance to dive into the latest Chat GPT model, o1, yet? I recently put it through its paces using a Dungeons & Dragons puzzle prompt (my go-to test!) and was blown away by how effortlessly it generated complex scenarios. 4 magical items, immersive descriptions, and a short riddle quickly showed its potential for logic and reasoning. Imagine the possibilities—tools like this could have been game-changers in the classroom, providing real-time, creative solutions for interactive learning. AI isn’t just reshaping how we teach; it's empowering educators to elevate their teaching strategies, creating more personalized, engaging experiences for students. 🌟 I recently used this prompt out of curiosity and was blown away by the response! 10 minutes later in Canva, I had this quick infographic for parents/educators! "Please act as a college philosophy professor that also has a degree in child development. find the bridge between logical and philosophical reasoning and child development. identify the stages of child development as it correlates to age groups, and how philosophical practices can help children grow and develop at different stages. Create philosophical questions, stories, and problems to give to children at different developmental stages to help them develop while engaging in philosophical discussions. Organize the information in a way that would help a parent understand the different stages, the philosophical background, and engagement strategies to use with children to implement all information" What are your thoughts on integrating AI into the classroom and parenting? Let’s start a discussion about the future of education and AI's role in transforming it! Always interested in what Martin Harbech, Greg Coquillo, and Dr. Joy Buolamwini have to say about the latest changes in AI and education! 🔗 #AIInEducation #EdTech #GenerativeAI #STEM #FutureOfLearning #AItools #InnovationInEd #ClassroomTech #TeachingWithAI #EducationRevolution #AIpoweredLearning

While some educators are worried about using AI-driven technologies in the classroom, others like Adrian Antao have found real benefits to using such tools. Adrian is a high school English teacher who believes in the potential of generative artificial intelligence to inspire learning and creativity while freeing up time for other school experiences. During a summer break from his work at KIPP NYC Prep, he collaborated with educators, coders, and designers at the nonprofit Playlab.ai to create a bot called "Project Toni." Students can use this tool to get real-time and specific feedback that sparks new ideas in the writing revision process. In the fifth episode of “The Future of Education,” Adrian discusses how AI tech can help teens become generative thinkers and build confidence in their decisions.
