The Humane League’s Post

This is what the pig farming industry calls "tail-docking" 💔 When piglets are only hours or days old, their tails are cut off—without any painkillers—because conditions are so incredibly stressful on factory farms that adult pigs will bite each other's tails, risking infection. This painful practice is banned in Finland and Sweden.

From the moment they're born, piglets endure a life of suffering in factory farms. They experience pain, fear, and deprivation, in the hands of soulless sadists ultimately ending in slaughter. Piglets are subjected to cruel practices like tail docking and teeth clipping without anesthesia. They're confined to cramped crates, unable to move freely or engage in natural behaviors. Our demand for cheap meat drives this cycle of cruelty. By choosing plant-based alternatives, we can help end the suffering of countless animals.
