Part 2 - On “What Does The Audience Want or Need”; With all this data of failures and successes from; 1. Over a Century of Films. 2. Nearly a Century of Television. 3. Almost 20 Centuries of Theatre. 4. Relatively Two Decades of Social Media. 5. Tonnes of years of Focus Groups Research Data. Yet we’re still seriously asking, "What does the Audience want or need?" To this extent, this question borders on goofiness. Some just develop, produce and broadcast/stream Television Shows and Films based on calendar themes/events/historical events and holidays of the year. Apparently that’s what the audience wants and needs 🤭🤭🤭 I mean Aristotle has an entire book from the flipping FOURTH CENTURY where he evaluates and interprets the qualities that lead to successful riveting shows with resonant characters. Broadcasters, Streamers, Producers, Directors and all Creatives/Creators have data that shows that indeed the analysis and qualities evaluated by Aristotle are still accurate in the TWENTY-FIRST CENTURY. Yet you still have certain Film and TV executives along with pundits asking, "What does the audience want or need?" 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️ We have several separate decades of the GOLDEN AGES of Film from all over the world going back 100+ years. We have a GOLDEN AGE of Television just behind us by the speck of dust that is Two Decades old. And yet, you are still asking, "What does the audience want or need?" 🙄🙄🙄 NB: Child Education and Entertainment share one core fundamental Principle/Golden Rule. Which is, whatever is presented to the audience/viewer has to be easily accessible but still offer an engaging and thought-provoking challenge. Simply Put: Any product meant for a Mass Audience Appeal, cannot accommodate too much complexity. But here’s the thing right, if you do make it too light then it will become too boring, even for the mind that scorns complexity. 👉🏾👉🏾👉🏾 Discover the Craftsmanship Needed to Turn Concepts/Ideas into Groundbreaking Content… #Storytelling #ScreenWriting #Story #GoldenAgesOfCinema #GoldenAgesOfTV #GoldenAgesOfTheatre #Television #TV #Film #Cinema #Theatre #SocialMedia #Content #VisualStorytelling #Entertainment #Audience #Viewers #MassAudience #Engagement #Creatives #Craftmanship

Editing can become a challenge when the necessary coverage is lacking. Coverage refers to the variety and volume of footage captured during filmmaking and video production to visually capture a scene and tell the story effectively. Without adequate coverage, editors must resort to applying various styles, techniques, and makeshift solutions to compensate for production mistakes or omissions. This is a common issue in the fluid and unpredictable nature of production. However, the Meundies spot stands apart from such production challenges. Terry Rietta, the director, provided meticulous coverage tailored to narrate the story effectively. In the realm of 30-second storytelling, precision reigns supreme. This precision in coverage not only facilitates the editor's job but also allows for more time to refine the edit without needing to seek additional solutions. Sometimes, directors may overshoot, offering an abundance of angles or options, which can create its own set of challenges. From the editor's perspective, ideal coverage offers a distinct point of view and ensures the completeness of the story. AICP (Association of Independent Commercial Producers) #editors #comedy

HITTING THE MAG CIRCUIT I’M absolutely thrilled to announce my appearance in the Facebook “Film Globe Magazine” – https://lnkd.in/gWEyqj6u. It may be a small one, but I do believe that magazines today continue to play a major role in “getting the word out,” whether glossy paper or digital, and as such, I strongly support them. Actors, like myself, Daniel S. Janik; Sakura Kai; and William Maltese often end up doing a strange dance between publicity and quiet seclusion, the former necessary to “get the word out” and the latter equally necessary to screen, memorize and deliver dialog while filming. As an actor who began his thespian career in the literary arena authoring books, I’m always working hard to maintain a balance between these two extremes, and magazines have typically offered that balanced middle ground. The “problem” is one that is common to all authors and actors: One needs to be sufficiently well-know (or have a significant financial draw) in order to attract agents, magazine writers, journalists, book or film publishers. Yet, if one actually meets this requirement, the situation is often the opposite: It’s suddenly necessary to become a businessperson, lawyer and publicist while controlling forces which detract significantly from the authoring or acting. It’s the continual struggle between content creators and content distributors. And at its base are “financial risk” verses “financial reward.” But, the bottom line is one has to place one’s toe in the water, if the process is to begin. So, having done that with “Film Global Magazine (FGM) online, I’ve shed my clothes for swimming briefs and am ready to jump wholly in. https://lnkd.in/gRNGkERS #DanielSJanik #JETProgress #DraqualMedia #FGM #FilmGlobeMagazine #WilliamMaltese #magazine #celebrity #publicity #balance #actor #money #financial #journalist #author #content #creator #distributor #publisher #film #movie #FinancialRisk #FinancialReward #business #lawyer #attorney #news #article #writer
