Sports Teams, how are you going to develop players ready for next season? Different results often require a different approach. If you need to mix it up this off-season then this is what we can do: Put the team in training situations they haven't experienced before Highlight who the natural leaders within the team are Help build robust players; physically, mentally, emotionally Identify areas for improvement; physically, mentally, emotionally Push physical boundaries that drills on the pitch cannot Enhance communication Teach discipline and self control Provide something difficult to overcome - the strongest of glues to bind a close knit team Have fun If interested in seeing how we can develop

"You'd never make it in an agency!" These were the verbatim words my manager told me early on in my career. And while I haven't launched an agency (yet!), I’ve built a business that’s making strides in the right direction. Yes, those words hurt, along with many other things they did. That manager was ultimately the reason I left the brand I was working for at the time. But I don’t hold any grudge. In truth, I’ve partly used that experience to fuel my journey. I’m fortunate that 99% of my managers haven’t been like this. In fact; I’ve had some absolute rockstars help develop my skillset over the years - those who understood the value of mentorship and leadership. They know who they are, and I’ll forever be grateful for their guidance. So, back to the comment, what did it teach me? A lot. 👉🏻 Constructive feedback over critical feedback, every time: Help people grow; don’t stunt their potential. 👉🏻 Managing is a skill: This particular experience wasn’t so great, and it taught me how not to manage people. Combined with a multitude of other things, managing is about developing the team around you. 👉🏻 The impact of words: Words are d*mn powerful; be careful with them. 👉🏻 Don’t let others define your potential: Their opinion doesn’t set your limits. In the short term, I’m content running my one-woman biz, but who knows? A year or two from now…let’s see. Anything is possible. Whatever the future holds for RH & Co., I’ll be sure that it supports and uplifts everyone involved.

I wish I knew this 7 years ago: Being nice all the time doesn’t make you a kind leader.☝️ And it doesn’t guarantee that your team will respect and follow you. Here are 10 rare traits that define exceptional kind leaders: [the ones people truly want to follow] 1) Genuine Curiosity: Truly listens to team members’ ideas. 2) Humble Confidence: Confident but approachable and open to feedback. 3) Adaptive Compassion: Provides support tailored to individual needs. 4) Empathic Listening: Attentive to both spoken and unspoken concerns. 5) Mentoring Mindset: Focuses on helping team members grow, not just managing tasks. 6) Encouraging Growth: Creates opportunities for professional development. 7) Respectful Boundaries: Honors personal and work boundaries. 8) Patient Encouragement: Guides the team through challenges with understanding. 9) Generous Recognition: Celebrates every success, big or small. 10) Calm Presence: Stays steady and calm, even in tough situations. Kind leadership isn’t about being nice. It’s about being genuine, supportive, and respectful in ways that truly impact and inspire your team. ------ Original Content Creator: Victoria Repa 💡 Follow Today's Entrepreneur for daily tips to unlock your potential

"The most impactful team session ever" This is what a team looks like when they’ve just gained a deeper level of self-awareness and self-efficacy. Self-awareness is one of the fundamental principles of coaching. Great coaches empower individuals to understand themselves more profoundly and take action in ways that go beyond solo introspection. At StepChange, Fabienne Perreux (ICF PCC) and I apply these same principles at a team level. On the day this picture was taken, we guided the eBay Global Business Development Leadership Team through a transformative journey of self-discovery. Each member completed a DISC personality questionnaire beforehand, allowing us to share their collective profile at the start of the day. The team not only identified their strengths and areas for development but also reflected on their existing behaviours to decide intentionally how to better work as a team. Several members shared spontaneous feedback that it was the most impactful team session they’ve experienced in their professional careers. If your team could benefit from a deeper sense of self-awareness and stronger collaboration, we’d love to help. Reach out to explore how we can work together @ STEP CHANGE

People may forget your words, but they will always remember how you made them feel. As leaders, entrepreneurs, mentors, or team members, it's our responsibility to be conscious of the emotional impact we have on others. This awareness can be the difference between... inspiring innovative ideas or discouraging collaboration, fostering a sense of trust or breeding insecurity, and... building a cohesive team or creating division. Taking time to reflect on these emotions can start to build a stronger sense of EQ, which is key to effective leadership and meaningful connections. Here are some questions to reflect upon today: ❓ What was a significant moment when someone's emotional influence positively impacted your journey? ❓How do you currently manage your emotions and reactions in stressful situations? ❓How can you further develop your empathy to foster stronger relationships at work? ❓What area of your emotional responses could benefit from growth or adjustment? ❓In what ways can you intentionally create a supportive environment for your colleagues or team members? ♻️ If you’d like to create more meaningful connections, please share! 👋 Hi, I’m Michelle Morgan, Founder of Passion Pursuit Coaching 🔔 Like this content? An observation I’ve made about myself as a business owner: I do my best work when I’m taking care of myself. I’ve tried the ‘no sleep, slam coffees, and just work’ grind that they tell you breeds success. Had no luck. I’m always my most creative, clear headed, disciplined & productive when I’m sleeping well, eating well & consistently training. How you lead a team starts with how you lead yourself, and if you’re constantly running on fumes & fast food, there’s no way it doesn’t trickle into your leadership process. Master your body, health & habits & I guarantee it has a better ROI for your business than most things you’re putting energy into.
