Inspired by Brazilian mechanic Alfredo Moser's idea, bottles filled with bleach and water provide indoor lighting equivalent to a 40-60 Watt bulb during the day. Since 2011, MyShelter Foundation has transformed this concept into a global movement, teaching communities in countries like India, Bangladesh, Tanzania, Argentina, and Fiji to install these lights. For night-time lighting, Liter of Light developed a solar energy system with a panel, battery, and LED lamps. This project not only offers sustainable lighting but also empowers communities by teaching them to utilize renewable energy.
