We’re not just another networking group, business accelerator, peer support circle, or referral program. We’re more like a family—connected by something deeper that goes beyond business transactions. There’s an unspoken bond that brings us together, driven by shared values, purpose, and a genuine desire to see each other succeed. It’s hard to explain, but it’s what makes the Bright Business Club unique. We’re here for growth, but also for each other—personally and professionally. Can anyone help better define that special bond that connects us? What do you think makes it so unique? Let’s put it into words together. #BrightBusinessFamily #PurposeDriven #Community https://lnkd.in/drfPPCAG

Event + Reaction = Outcome. 2 weeks after the Vistage UK Summit these words by Jamil Qureshi are still reverberating around my head. It’s become my mantra. We don’t necessarily control the EVENT (Coveys’ circle of concern) but we can control our REACTION (circle of influence) which means we ALWAYS have some say over the final OUTCOME. I have historically referred to this as: Don’t be a D*ck (That’s the reaction. The event is “other people being d*cks”) I try to live by this, but very often I fail. Sometimes you need to hear something said in a slightly different way to remind yourself of this stuff and to renew your commitment to what matters to you most. If you haven’t heard Jamil speak you’re missing out. I cannot recommend him highly enough! #keynotespeaker #recommendation #review
Friday didn't start great for me. It was only after the second air horn sound, I realised it wasn't deodorant, but it did end brilliantly. A real delight to speak to 250 senior leaders and business owners at the Vistage UK annual executive summit. Thank you to Beth Lovell and Philippa Sargeant (Hough) for the invitation! #businessowners #entrepreneurs #ceo #growth #businessgrowth #eventprofs #eventplanners #speakerbureau The Growing Coaches Ltd Vistage Worldwide, Inc.

Tomorrow is my birthday, and it's a pretty big one. I don't share my age, so my team sent me a question mark candle 🤣. They love to get together with my clients and guess my age every time we meet. I’m proud of all my accomplishments so far. It’s tough to sit back as a business owner and celebrate everything you achieve when you’re going 100 MPH every day. In the past year alone, we have tripled our growth here at Jade Street Consulting Inc. , I received two TITAN Women In Business Awards -Gold Female Entrepreneur of the Year (New Startup) and Gold Female Entrepreneur of the Year(<5 years in Business), and 1 The Stevie® Awards. Most importantly, I stayed true to my word, mission, and values, which means everything to me. On the other hand, it was also one of the toughest years of my life. I didn’t come from money or a family of entrepreneurs. I came from a foreclosed home at the age of 16 and had an extremely tough life growing up. I share this because my success truly comes from hard work. No matter what awards I receive, what matters most to me is taking care of the people who take care of me—A.K.A. my family and team here at Jade Street Consulting Inc. I wouldn’t be where I am today without their hard work and dedication. That is my biggest accomplishment. I will be completely offline and off LinkedIn for the next few days to celebrate in New Orleans with my other half 🎉. Cheers to another year 🥂 #birthday #ceo #founder #culture #team #cpg #cpgindustry #cpgbusiness #brands #partnerships #clients #food #beverage #foodandbeverage #celebrate #accomplishments #success #building #happiness #travel

What if #business we’re not some institutional meme with decision makers deliberating far beyond the sight of #consumers and most #employees? What if business were inescapably aware of the #consequences of its #production and #delivery of #value? We don’t have to speculate. This is #reality of most #smallbusiness where half of American employees work in our midst. This half of the business world (>99% of businesses) has had little voice in national politics and generally is shouted down by the megaphone of billion dollar corporations, good and bad. Imagine if the national conversation about business were mostly about #communities and entrepreneurial #innovation. Imagine a dominance of discussions about the experience of #neighborly interpersonal relationships between providers and receivers of products or services instead of stilted dichotomies of impersonal supply and demand. This is not so much about the question of why. The compelling answer is the deeper question of why not?
Oprah Winfrey's Unite for America event was nothing short of inspiring! The energy in the room was electric as we came together to champion change, #leadership, and the future of America. It was an absolute thrill for Founders for Kamala to be a collaboration partner & present both in person and online at such a pivotal moment. Hearing VP Kamala Harris speak about the vital role small businesses play as the backbone of our #economy left us energized and ready to take action. Kamala's unwavering support for entrepreneurs and her vision for a stronger, more equitable future resonated deeply. Watch this powerful moment from the event and activate with us on October 8th for #DoSomethingDay: https://lnkd.in/ev6ddrai Shout Out to Karen Cahn Daniel Smith, MBA Jonathan Jacobs (in-person) and our on-line #business leaders: Cynthia Cohen Allison Byers Marie Roker-Jones Ellen (Li Ting) Ng JOHN M. CORRIGAN Sophia Westrich Jennifer Iannolo Joy Hoover Lauren Washington Kate Gardiner Janece Matsko Peter Shankman Sonia Smith-Kang Samantha Katz SoVonna Day-Goins Tyson Joines & all community of pledge signatories & coalition partners who participated in the evening. Let's keep the MOmentum going TOGETHER! #Innovation #Entrepreneurship #SmallBusiness #Founders #Money #FoundersForKamala #UniteforAmerica2024

The notion that the path to success is a solitary trek is one I strongly challenge. Just last week, I had the pleasure of attending the JWE Business Conference, thanks to an invitation from Jenna Nelson Beltser. At the event, a keynote speech by Melissa Ben-Ishay, the CEO and co-founder of Baked by Melissa, struck a particular chord with me. Melissa's journey to building a wildly successful business is a testament to grit, determination, hard work, and vision. However, she openly acknowledged a crucial element that often goes unnoticed - the power of support. In her early entrepreneurial days, Melissa leaned heavily on her brother and another friend. They navigated the turbulent waters of business together, proving that success is rarely (if ever) a solo expedition. Melissa's story shatters the myth that seeking help is a sign of weakness. Instead, it reaffirms the strength inherent in leveraging the support of others. So, the next time you find yourself grappling with all that’s on your plate and feeling the pressure of going it separate and alone, remember Melissa's story. Embrace the power of support, collaboration, and shared dreams. #BusinessSuccess #Collaboration #Support #Leadership
