https://lnkd.in/dJ4CYyfX A very interesting read on the use of AI in Public Health, and as Behavioural Scientists we now need to invest further learnings in the use of AI to predict and model behaviours. AI is surely here to stay. So how do Behavioural Scientists leverage the power of AI to predict behaviours from randomised controlled trials? Have they been accurate from your experience thus far? Are there any any AI tools specifically developed for our field ? More questions than answers, but welcome your views and thoughts. #behavioralscience #dubai #australia #changemanagement #AI

The number 1 reason clinical researchers fail to publish: They focus on learning, and not executing. - Reading dozens of papers. - Getting bogged down by complex statistical methods. - Asking how to publish 5 papers this year before they publish their first paper. The result? Delayed publications and missed opportunities. Here’s what I did instead: 1. Set up daily time to write 2. Leveraged open-access tools such as Zotero and R 3. Reverse-engineer similar papers for methods 4. Sought feedback from colleagues early for iterative learning Stop trying to learn everything about your topic before you write. Start writing while you are learning. Daily actions compound over time. This is how you get ahead of 99% of people. P.S. Three Steps to Define A Strategy for Integrating AI in Public Affairs We’re all talking about AI—its potential, how it works, and the ways we might apply it in our organizations. Yet, one crucial step often gets overlooked: developing a clear strategy for integrating AI into public affairs. [If you're exploring how AI can fit into your public affairs strategy, I invite you to take part in our survey on AI integration: https://lnkd.in/esT84eNk] Historically, technology has always driven innovation in public affairs. In a crowded field, staying competitive requires leveraging new tools. The exponential speed at which AI is evolving forces us to adopt these technologies more rapidly than ever before. The challenge? Most public affairs professionals don’t have the knowledge or skills to fully understand AI technologies. This raises a critical question: Are PA leaders in a position to devise effective strategies for AI integration? From my conversations with trade associations and leaders across the sector, it’s clear that most organizations, particularly smaller ones, are still in the exploratory phase. They’re testing technologies like GPT and taking tentative steps toward strategy development. Only a few, often well-resourced, organizations are advancing toward building full-scale AI-driven tools. So how can we close this knowledge gap and move from exploration to execution? Here are three steps that can guide this process: 1. Start with the problem, not the technology Focus on the specific challenges AI can address. For example, automating the analysis of policy documents, automating meeting summaries, or improving stakeholder mapping can be clear use cases that provide real value, helping public affairs professionals spend more time on analytical and strategic decisions. 2. Prioritize by value Evaluate potential AI applications based on their impact. In public affairs, this could translate to more efficient advocacy, better engagement with policymakers, or faster data-driven decision-making. For example, AI tools can help summarize complex policy landscapes in a fraction of the time, enabling quicker, more informed decisions. 3. Assess feasibility and ROI Before diving in, assess whether your organization has the data, infrastructure, and resources to make AI work. Small-scale pilots, like using AI to track regulatory changes or create personalized monitoring reports, can help test feasibility and refine the approach. If you're exploring how AI can fit into your public affairs strategy, I invite you to take part in our survey on AI integration: https://lnkd.in/esT84eNk

While AI, traditional machine learning, and deep learning are projected to result in net savings of $200 billion to $360 billion in healthcare spending, 75% of execs fear their investments may fall short. But why? It all comes down to data – hospitals alone produce more data than can be truly quantified. It's hard to make a switch to a new system without leaving room for gaps or privacy breaches. When moving forward with a digital transformation, this needs to be top of mind for all practices in order to keep patients safe. #Finance #AI #Healthcare #Data #Analytics
