JUST LIKE GOLF SALES LOOKS SIMPLE - ALL YOU DO IS ASK AND ANSWER QUESTIONS AND THE ORDERS JUST FLOW IN... THE MAJOR DIFFERENT BETWEEN GOLF AND SALES IS THAT IF A GOLFER TELLS YOU THEY ARE GREAT, ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS ASK THEIR SCORIS ASK THEIR SCORE... #SALES
Amen! I had a mentor many years ago that said, "invest in yourself and your profession through books and tapes, take it serious as if you were a Doctor, a Lawyer, because becoming a TRUE Sales Professional can be just as challenging." He was right, I did, and benefitted immensely from that advice.....which I now share with the next generation of Sales Professionals.
The sales rep with the highest score (most revenue generated) gets fired (loses) and the sales rep with the lowest score (least revenue generated) gets promoted..... Lowest Score (revenue generated) always wins :)
I remember when Tiger Woods, one of the greatest golfers of all time, hired Sean Foley to help him rebuild his swing. Woods won nine times with Foley as his coach - once at the 2011 World Challenge plus three times in 2012 and five times in 2013, which included him returning to the world number one position.
Yep… sure do. Talent will only get you so far…. After that you have to invest in yourself and keep getting better The other things is to be good at both games you need to develop how to scramble …. And control the game between your ears
"...until you give it a try." Dead on, for both golf and sales.
Great comparison and so true
The world we live in is an amazing place. Learn about it while you're road tripping.
1wGolf is a game that you can actually get worse the harder you try. I've played for 40 years, am a 2 handicap, and am not close to being a "good" golfer. I've been in sales over 20 years and I feel like I fail every day. But, like golf, I keep trying......
