Here's the thing we often don't talk about as we travel our business or career journey: the scary path of being a caregiver for our loved ones. It can take a toll on our business growth, our relationships and family connections. In that light, Richard Kaufman and I have a valuable conversation. So please take a listen. It might lighten your sense of overwhelm. 😎 The journey of being a #caregiver when your parent hoards is mentally exhausting. It often falls to us, the #akopth to begin parenting our elderly parent. This can be a very lonely place to be. However, #selfcare matters and having supportive people around us can make a positive difference for US. IF you are asking things like, "how's your mom?" we appreciate it. Also remember that WE the caregiver may be struggling too! So asking "how are you?" is something that is a breath of fresh air! Often we are doing our level best to assist someone that refuses ALL REASONABLE efforts to ensure they are safe, warm and comfortable. We wouldn't even try - but we do because we CARE. Take a listen as Richard and I talk about this daunting journey of caring for our loved ones. It isn't for the faint of heart! #ylith #hoardingawareness #hoardinghurts #traumainformed #acoh #pwh #eldercare #hoardingindustry #veteranshelpingveterans #podcastshow #veteranbusinessowners
