It’s wonderful to kick off our engagement at EAIE: European Association for International Education with a workshop on systemic internationalization led by Dr. Marina Casals Sala, our new Director of Memeber Relations for Europe. 👏 The EAIE: European Association for International Education launched the third edition of the EAIE Barometer! The report offers a broad range of insights on the internationalisation of higher education in Europe, including data on the experience of international higher education practitioners, #internationalisation strategies and impact, national and political influence, and more. 🔎 Out of close to 1,900 respondents to a related question on the impact of national-level authorities when it comes to institutional goals and internationalisation, 65% reported an overall positive influence of “national policies, programmes or initiatives on their institution’s actual internationalisation activities”. 🎉 ACA celebrates this finding alongside its members (national-level internationalisation funding organisations) whose invaluable work in supporting internationalisation nationally does not go unnoticed! 📍 Discover many other interesting findings in the full report: https://lnkd.in/gja43e-9 #highered #internationalization

🇪🇺🇧🇷🇳🇱🇭🇺 Studying the EU from an overseas and a European perspective: EUGOV Master students Clarissa Dias from Brazil and Lili Grandiek from The Netherlands/Hungary talk about their experiences and how their different perspectives contribute to the group debate. 🇫🇷🇬🇧🇩🇪 With CIFE's Master in Applied European Policy and Governance Studies (EUGOV), students live and learn in three different locations: Nice (France), Canterbury (UK), and Berlin (Germany). Students come from all European countries and way beyond. Each year, we welcome between 10 to 15 different nationalities within one group, some of them joining from as far as Brazil. 📚 The special feature of this Master is its interdisciplinary and intercultural approach. It prepares students for future careers in the European institutions and international organisations. I recently attended a seminar in Morocco aimed at strengthening Erasmus+ funded international partnerships between Sub-Saharan African countries and Mediterranean countries. The funding allocation for the Erasmus+ 2021-2027 period heavily favours partnerships with Sub-Sahara African countries. While African higher education institutions cannot apply directly for the funding, we have an opportunity like never before to negotiate with partners and influence the programme design to ensure that we are not simply "along for the ride" but that our institutional strategic priorities and needs are also addressed. #partnerships #internationalisation #erasmusplus #equity #internationaleducation #capacitybuilding #mobility #exchanges
