The recent UK Trade Skills Index report highlights a pressing need for 937,000 new workers in the construction industry by 2032. At British Gypsum, together with Isover UK we've recognised the urgency of this challenge and together are taking proactive steps within the insulation and plastering sectors of the industry to work on bridging this gap. Alongside Isover, we are delivering innovative training programmes and upskilling opportunities to equip both new and established workers with the essential skills needed to meet the evolving demands of our industry. Our Build Better Academy provides accessible, comprehensive training through a blended learning approach that combines digital resources with hands-on sessions to accommodate diverse learning styles. Collaboration is critical to our success. Initiatives like the Thistle Partnership Scheme enable us to share resources and enhance training and education, effectively connecting academia with the needs of the construction sector.
