The USSF is pushing ahead with its Commercial Augmentation Space Reserve (CASR) to integrate commercial satellites into military operations now—not just in wartime. If your company isn’t in talks yet, you’re behind. Why Engage Now? Opportunity - Be First Movers in the CASR Program: Space Force aims to award contracts soon. Companies that engage early will shape the future of military-commercial satellite integration, positioning themselves as key players in defense space operations. - Advice: Prioritize involvement in USSF’s CASR initiative. Provide clear feedback on incentives and capabilities to ensure your tech aligns with military needs. Leverage expedited cybersecurity processes and influence contract terms that suit your business. - Differentiator: Engaging now allows companies to lock in pre-priced capabilities and secure market share in a rapidly expanding military sector. CRG can connect you directly with decision-makers to fast-track your involvement. Opportunity - Mitigate Risk with Strategic Alliances: The Space Force is actively seeking industry feedback to balance military needs with commercial interests, including addressing denial-of-service concerns and financial protections. - Advice: Collaborate on frameworks that align with U.S. sanctions rather than blanket denial-of-service clauses. Advocate for insurance and indemnification protections to mitigate financial risks from wartime losses. - Differentiator: Companies that influence these terms will set themselves apart, ensuring operational security and protecting their bottom line. CRG helps clients navigate these negotiations with targeted advocacy. Opportunity - Capitalize on Threat Sharing: Space Force’s push for threat sharing will allow companies to adjust their supply chains and capabilities in real-time to meet increased demand during conflicts. - Advice: Build flexible supply chains and long-lead item procurement strategies that align with military demand signals. Use threat data to make informed decisions that enhance your responsiveness and relevance. - Differentiator: Firms that can rapidly pivot and expand capacity in response to threat insights will be invaluable to the Space Force. CRG guides companies in structuring these responsive supply models. The Space Force’s CASR is not just an opportunity—it’s a necessity for companies looking to lead in space defense. Don’t wait for an invitation; if you’re not already engaged, you should be talking to CRG to get in the game now. 🛰️Under the theme "GNSS MEETS FRIENDS IN NEW ORBITS - POTENTIALS AND SYNERGIES!", the space community convened last week for the annual Munich Space Navigation Summit.📡 Over three days, attendees had ample opportunities to discuss the latest advancements in satellite navigation. The agenda commenced with updates on global and regional satellite systems, followed by exploration of the new possibilities offered by LEO. Various domains such as new constellations, satellite communication—particularly the European IRIS2 initiative—and earth observation were explored for their potentials and synergies, prompting inquiries into legal aspects and potential commercial benefits. On the final day, attention turned to further technical differentiation and the array of military and civilian services offered by the European Galileo system, along with challenges posed by frequency interference. Throughout the discussions, it was evident once more that strategic resilience and robust cyber security measures are not only essential but more critical than ever. As a member of this community, I am happy to contribute to its endeavors. #Galileo #PRS #Cybersecurity #SINA

The United States Space Force is enhancing its cyber capabilities by adding new #CyberSquads and improving #SatelliteControl. As a two-time military veteran and #astrophysicist with experience as a #CyberWarfareEngineer, I recognize the importance of these initiatives. Embedding cyber units into mission areas ensures robust protection for critical space assets. The #CyberDelta, responsible for cyber defense, is expanding to include permanent #CyberProtectionTeams, addressing both passive defense and active response. The upgrade of the #SatelliteControlNetwork, operated by #SpaceDelta6, is crucial for maintaining secure and reliable communications. The network's modernization from 1990s technology to #softwaredefinednetworks will enhance operational efficiency and resilience. This transformation, supported by a $1.4 billion contract with #BlueHalo, aims to increase communication capacity for satellites in #geosynchronousorbit, ensuring the U.S. maintains its strategic edge. These advancements underscore the necessity of integrating cyber operations with space missions. The Space Force's proactive approach in enhancing both cyber defense and satellite control capabilities demonstrates a commitment to securing U.S. space infrastructure against evolving threats. This integrated strategy is essential for maintaining national security and operational superiority. https://lnkd.in/g8eyGijN #SpaceForce #CyberSquads #SatelliteControl #CyberDelta #CyberDefense #CyberProtectionTeams #SoftwareDefinedNetworks #BlueHalo #GeosynchronousOrbit #NationalSecurity #SpaceInfrastructure #OperationalSuperiority
