🌟 Ever wonder how teams grow and succeed? Working in teams isn’t always smooth sailing—it can be messy, challenging, and, at times, downright frustrating. But Bruce Tuckman’s stages of team development have been a game-changer for understanding how teams evolve and thrive. Here’s a quick breakdown of his model: 1️⃣ Forming: It’s the honeymoon phase. Everyone’s polite, figuring out their roles, and dreaming big. 2️⃣ Storming: The reality check. Differences surface, opinions clash, and things get real. 3️⃣ Norming: The "aha" moment. Trust builds, people align, and collaboration starts to click. 4️⃣ Performing: Magic happens here. The team works like a well-oiled machine, achieving goals together. 5️⃣ Adjourning: Time to reflect, celebrate wins, and move on to the next adventure. 💡 Here’s why it matters: Every team goes through these stages—it’s normal! But recognizing where your team is can make all the difference. Whether you’re weathering the storm or hitting your stride, knowing how to navigate these phases can help unlock a team’s full potential. Your thoughts? Have you seen these stages play out in your own teams? How did you handle the tough "storming" phase? Let’s share and learn from each other in the comments! #Teamwork #Leadership #GrowthMindset #TuckmanModel

Effective team development starts with a strong foundation. Most people are familiar with the Tuckman Model, but I'd like to introduce you to the Drexler Sibbet Team Performance Model which also offers a valuable framework for understanding and guiding team development. The first two stages of the model are Orientation and Trust Building: Orientation: At this stage, the team clarifies its purpose and aligns on goals. This step is crucial for setting the direction and ensuring everyone understands their roles and responsibilities. Trust Building: Here, team members develop mutual trust through transparent communication and shared experiences. Trust is the bedrock of any high-performing team, fostering open dialogue and collaboration. 💡 Invest time in these foundational stages to create a robust base for your team. Clearly define the team’s purpose and encourage transparent communication to build trust. When these elements are in place, teams are more likely to collaborate effectively and innovate. How do you establish trust and purpose in your teams? Share your tips below! 👇 -------------- Looking to develop high-performing teams? Let's chat! #Leadership #TeamDevelopment #TeamBuilding

🌟 Building High-Performing Teams with Tuckman's 4-Stage Model 🌟 At Lotus Flower Consultancy, we use Tuckman's 4-Stage Team Development Model to help teams understand why conflicts may occur and, in some cases, to actively encourage and manage them. Each stage — Forming, Storming, Norming, and Performing — is vital for creating a high-performing, successful team. However, many leaders tend to avoid the "Storming" stage or intervene too soon, disrupting natural team development. It’s essential to let each stage occur. If not, effective communication and team dynamics will not fully develop. Stay tuned as we dive deeper into each stage in the upcoming posts! #LotusFlowerConsultancy #LeadershipDevelopment #TeamDevelopment #TuckmanModel #ConflictResolution #TeamSuccess #ProfessionalDevelopment #GrowthMindset #CoachingUK #EmpowerYourTeam

Yesterday, I visited a friend’s office and saw something amazing—a small group of people working in perfect sync, achieving things even bigger companies struggle with. What’s their secret? Two things: passion and agility. They didn’t spend time doubting whether something could be done; they just went for it, adapting to whatever came their way. This kind of team mentality is crucial, yet so rare. Too often, teams get divided by roles, processes, or egos instead of rallying around a common goal. But a great team is one that’s united by a shared vision, where flexibility and commitment outweigh doubts. When teams focus on “getting it done” instead of “if it can be done,” they don’t just complete projects—they achieve greatness. If you’ve ever been part of a team like this, you know what I mean. It’s not just about skills; it’s about how we collaborate, trust each other, and adapt to challenges. 💪 How can we build more teams like this? Focus on shared goals, embrace agility, and above all—stay passionate. #Leadership #TeamCollaboration #AgileTeams #DesignThinking #ProductManagement #Teamwork #WorkCulture

High-performing teams have some things in common. They’re: 1. Clear on objectives 2. Aligned on values 3. Committed to success But HOW do you actually achieve this? It’s easy to spill put ingredients. - Clarify roles - Set team goals - Create a culture of trust - Develop individual strengths It’s much more difficult to make that happen. If I was to spell out one sentence that worked in all 2000+ teams we at Thriverse worked with, it would be this: — 💡 The BEST way to build a high-performing team is: ✅ Create a clear vision ✅ Train your team to achieve it through specific habits ✅ Celebrate successes — We’ve used this ⬆️⬆️⬆️ framework to take teams to next-level performance and engagement. Trust it, it works. #teamdevelopment #coaching
