The B.C. Centre for Innovation and Clean Energy (CICE) announced $1.25 million in funding to three B.C. companies, including a fuel cell stack manufacturer for heavy #trucks. Unilia (Canada) Fuel Cells, Inc. Cells is among the three recipients. It is rolling out a #hydrogen #fuelcell-powered heavy-duty truck, CICE said in a release. Expander Energy Inc. is another recipient. It produces fossil-free, net-zero renewable diesel for the long haul trucking sector. EcoClean has commissioned the first production-ready EcoLyzer #electrolyser. The P200 system, consisting of two modular units with an output of 1 MW, can produce around 200 Nm³/h of #hydrogen. The EcoLyzer electrolyser is based on a modular system concept jointly developed by Ecoclean and Zentrum für Sonnenenergie- und Wasserstoff-Forschung Baden-Württemberg (ZSW). Technologically, the EcoLyzer is based on a system technology for #alkaline pressure #electrolysis developed and optimised by ZSW over the last ten years. The project partners worked closely together to develop a modular concept that enables the cost-efficient construction of plants with a system output of 1 to 20 MW, located close to #renewable #energy sources. In parallel with the development of the electrolysis system, Ecoclean has established production capacities for the series production of electrolysers, which are already available on the market. In its first phase, production is designed for an output of 200 MW per year, with the potential to double based on market demand. Read the full story ⬇️
