Jaguar just dropped a rebrand hotter than a V12 engine on a summer day, and the streets (and tweets) are buzzing. They’ve traded tradition for boldness, stepping into what they call "𝐄𝐱𝐮𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐌𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐦". A vibe that screams fearless, artsy, and electric. Yep, we’re talking about a complete EV pivot with cars that’ll cost twice as much but ooze exclusivity. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐨𝐚𝐥? Catch the eye of a younger, richer, urban crowd that vibes with creativity and sleek innovation. 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡-𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐥𝐮𝐱𝐮𝐫𝐲 𝐦𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐦𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐧-𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐜. But not everyone’s clapping. Critics think ditching heritage for a future-forward aesthetic is risky. Will the move pounce Jaguar into greatness or stall it on the freeway of bad branding? Only time will tell... One thing’s for sure: 𝐉𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐚𝐫’𝐬 𝐝𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐭 𝐬𝐚𝐟𝐞. Whether you love it or hate it, they’ve got everyone talking. I literally hated Jaguar's rebrand. But THIS..... This is a bold leap into the electric future. Type 00 isn’t just a car, it’s a STATEMENT. With its sleek design and cutting-edge innovation, this EV feels like a statement—a perfect mix of heritage and future ambition. I even find it fascinating that how Jaguar is rewriting its story, proving that a rebrand is more than a logo or tagline. It’s about creating an experience so striking, people can’t help but take notice. Does this new identity feel like a perfect match for the electric future, or is it too far from the Jaguar you knew? Let’s talk in the comments! P.S. Feel free to share this ♻️ with your network. #content #branding #brands #marketing #rebrand

What do you make of Jaguar's new concept car? Whenever I see these bold new designs, my mind always goes to 1 thing: 'How would this cope with British speed bumps?' 😅 Anyway, this case study is writing itself for marketers. Good or bad, I can't wait to see they get on. #branding #creative #concept

Here's why the Jaguar rebrand is really a genius marketing and design move that everyone is overlooking: Just kidding, it's not. Everyone is trying to post rationalize or find meaning in what is essentially a bad marketing move, with a dated looking rebrand, using diversity as a campaign strategy rather than actually developing a sound and original strategy. It screams of "middle age dad with the backwards hat on, trying to be cool with his kids friends" energy. Grasping for relevance using trends and tropes rather than heritage, meaning and substance. That, as well as the overall bad design (unicase custom type treatment that looks like a poor DUNE knockoff) are why this rebrand falls flat and misses the mark. People get upset about any rebrand, but more people get upset and talking when it's a poorly strategized and even more poorly executed rebrand, which this one is. I see people comparing this to KIA, which is insane to me. KIAs logo was a drastic improvement (even if I still don't love it), paired with really sound rollout strategy and a MUCH BETTER product as well (than previous Kia's not Jaguar). This logo is not only not an improvement, it's the antithesis of what they're actually trying to do: look innovative and to the future. A dated wordmark and heavily leaning on trends is not the foundation upon which to build an innovative new EV version of Jaguar. Lets see where they take this one in the coming two years before their EVs are released. At least we'll be entertained. #jaguarrebrand #horriblerebrand #rebrandnightmare #logodesign #graphicdesign #marketingstrategy

Jaguar just turned a rebranding controversy into one of the most talked-about marketing moves of the year. Here's what makes it brilliant: 1. Cultural Relevance: By addressing the backlash head-on with humor and confidence, Jaguar made a statement: 'Getting attention in today’s world isn’t easy… we’re delighted to have your attention.' This clever response reframes criticism as free publicity. 2. Subtlety: Instead of denying the controversy, Jaguar leaned into it, sparking even more conversation. Their concept car reveal became the center of attention—not just for the car but for the entire brand’s boldness. 3. Emotional Appeal: Love it or hate it, Jaguar’s strategy got everyone invested. It’s a masterclass in how to take criticism and turn it into a spotlight moment. 4. Minimalist Design: The clean, futuristic design of the concept car complements the narrative of a forward-thinking brand—one unafraid of breaking conventions. 5. Timely Messaging: In a digital-first world where virality rules, Jaguar’s move proves that sometimes, controversy is the best marketing strategy. As the saying goes, 'No press is bad press.' What do you think—was this a planned move or a clever recovery? #Ad #MarketingStrategy #BrandReinvention #CreativeMarketing #ControversyInMarketing #BoldMoves #Jaguar

I love Jaguar's rebrand. For all of those who are criticizing their rebrand, it's a brilliant strategy. The "Copy Nothing" campaign and their strategic "fire break" are admissions that they’ve fallen behind in the EV market. They are leveraging boldness to own that narrative and reposition themselves. It's an obvious departure from the past while signaling modern luxury: - a simplified logo - bold colors instead of the tradition black and gold luxury approach - Avant-garde and abstract campaigns remind us of the future, which EV and sustainability are. Jaguar is behind in the EV market. They sold 1188 EV units in the US in Q2 of 2024. That's 59% of their EV sales. And only .4% of the US EV market. So, what would you rather do? Sheepishly say, "Um... excuse me. I'd like to sell some EV cars now if that's ok with you?" Or kick in the door and scream, "Honey, I'm home!" Feel free to tell me in the comments about how I think I know more than the people who think they know more about Jaguar's marketing strategy. 👇 #JaguarMarketing #JaguarRebrand #BrandReinvention #CreativeMarketingStrategies #MarketingInnovation

🚀 Did anyone see Jaguar’s new logo change?! 🚀 Clean. Modern. Bold. But that’s not all… Right after the logo drop, Jaguar hit us with that concept EV. Sleek, futuristic, and looking like it drove straight out of 2040. This wasn’t just a logo refresh… it was a power move. From a marketing perspective, this is how you do a rebrand right. It’s not just about changing the logo… it’s about changing the story. The logo tells us “precision and progress.” The concept car shows us the future of luxury and sustainability. It’s the perfect “don’t just tell me, show me” moment. Honestly, it got me thinking about how often we focus on appearances when real change is about action. Jaguar didn’t just say, “We’re evolving”… they proved it. What do you think about the new look and the concept EV? #Jaguar #Marketing #Branding #EV #Innovation #Rebrand #FutureForward l

Another useless comment on the Jaguar rebrand. Let's say you had a story of breathtaking design. You produced at some point in your life "the most beautiful car in the world". Then you followed that with one of the most iconic 4-door sedans in the world. Then, for 50 years, you didn't do shit. 💩 Nothing. Your reputation for reliability was down the drain. 💩 You had a miserable dealer support network in the second most important car market in the world, 💩 none in the most important. 💩 Then you didn't manage a single out-of-the-park design in 50 years. Nothing. 💩 And, yes, people "remember" your brand warmly, but no one is buying you 💩. What would YOU do? 🤔 Wouldn't you say "ah, f**k it" and just reinvent yourself from scratch? I would. 👍 So, listen, unless you actually were in the market seriously for a Jaguar (like I was) or own one, STFU.

Jaguar rebranded themselves. And I've got mixed feelings, to say the least. Daring, loud, and definitely not the Jaguar I knew. Honestly, I hate every second of the ad. But what's one part of their goal – creating buzz? 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗶𝘁. Then #Elon comments – 𝘋𝘰 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘚𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘊𝘢𝘳𝘴? People are comparing it to the old, “good” Jaguar ads, reminiscing about the brand’s glory days. And don't overlook the most jarring aspect: THEY CHANGED THE LOGO. The iconic 90-year-old leaping jaguar is gone. I realize now that something as “small” as typography can make or break how we perceive a brand. Will this turn into more car sales? Probably not. Will it plant Jaguar into people’s minds, start conversations, and make some of us curious about what’s next? 𝐀𝐛𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐲. I’m torn, and I so wanna hear what others think. Do you think ditching the leaping jaguar will help or hurt the brand in the long run? #BrandStrategy #Rebranding #MarketingCampaign #BrandIdentity #ConsumerEngagement #Jaguar #AutomotiveMarketing #Luxury #Branding #Marketing

My Take on the #Jaguar Rebrand. (JUST in case you needed another opinion.) First off, we can all agree—it Stands The Flock Out. 🦩 Jaguar has our attention. But virality alone doesn’t make a rebrand successful. It’s just a tactic. A truly effective rebrand resonates with its audience, builds trust, and creates long-term value—not just buzz. And Jaguar’s rebrand isn’t there yet. That’s why I waited to comment until I saw the concept cars. Now that I have, my opinion is... mixed. The concept cars are undeniably bold—“exuberant,” stylish, minimal, and futuristic. They align with Jaguar’s new vision and, I must say, feel very on-brand for JUST Creative. I’d drive the pink Type 00 (naturally), though that’s purely personal taste. Looking at the bigger picture, Jaguar’s rebrand aims to target “younger, wealthier, more urban consumers” with fewer, higher-priced cars. While I could *just* fit into this persona, I still feel the rebrand falls short of fully delivering on its promise. The high-fashionesque logo and generic typography feel ironic for a brand touting “Copy Nothing.” They're forgettable, derivative, and lacks the distinctiveness Jaguar needs to make this claim successful. As for the marketing, Mark Ritson summed it up perfectly: “overblown, disconnected from automotive customers, and filled with bollocks.” That said, Jaguar is breaking the playbook and challenging convention—something branding critics, myself included, aren't always quick to embrace. (Cue hot takes.) Jaguar is taking a chance, evolving, and attempting to redefine luxury and performance—not appease nostalgic critics. Will this be a roaring comeback or a quiet whimper? Only time will tell. #jaguarrebrand #branding

Have you seen Jaguar’s rebranding? 😲 I don’t know about you, but WOW—the SHIFT is REAL and I’ve got mixed feelings about it! On one hand, I LOVE the sleek and sophisticated new emblem and the clean, modern font. It’s fresh, it’s minimalist, and it makes perfect sense for a company pivoting toward an all-electric future. On the other hand… I can’t help but feel NOSTALGIC for the old “ full-bodied Jaguar “ emblem —for me it spoke heritage and luxury—it had character and history. That said, I have to admit—Jaguar’s new taglines are SPOT ON. 🔥 “COPY NOTHING: Create exuberant. Live vivid. Delete ordinary. Break moulds.” 🔥 These words perfectly capture the essence of what Jaguar’s rebrand is about. I guess the shock factor is part of the magic of any successful campaign, no? Positive or negative, it gets people talking. I’m all for progress, and I do believe Jaguar’s new identity reflects the future they’re chasing. But still… there’s a part of me that feels like the rebrand is a little too generic for a brand with such a rich and iconic legacy. 🤔 Anyone else feeling this pull between nostalgia and progress? Or are you loving the new look? #branding #rebranding #jaguar #brandidentity #marketing #brandevolution #nostalgiavsprogress #automotive
