Video outreach in sales is easy-ish and fun AF! Last week I watched a great 1:1 with two prolific video outreach creators. It was an insightful conversation and lots to take from it. Biggest takeaway for me as with many things that may be out of our comfort zone, just go for it. Best advice I can offer: Be energetic, creative, and if you are looking to break the seal on your video outreach and need baby steps to get you walking before you are running. Start with introducing yourself, "Hey Phil here, not a bot" Has this netted a ton of meetings for me, no it has not but if you are so frozen with fear of hitting record, who cares, just start somewhere. Let me add a suggested way of working: • Achieve the expected results (client and organization you work with). • Maintain an excellent commercial relationship (external and internal). • Build a friendship (clients and co-workers). • Be very creative to maintain the business and friendship relationship 👆. • Stay up to date (customers, co-workers, current trending topics, the products you are offering, the needs of the internal and external people, etc.). • Normally people come and go so repeat the 👆 (iterative process). • And remember: Organizations are definitely not the facilities, the laptop, the work desk, etc. Organizations are human beings: with bills to pay, personal stuff, sometimes under a lot of pressure over their "shoulders" which can result in anxiety, depression, lack of sleep ( so they start to drink a lot of coffee ), probably having lunch at night, arrive at home tired, eat and fall asleep. In some cases do not exercise ( with all of this combine it may impact their health ). I am more than open to sharing what I have learned. Just write me privately and let's have a 30-minute call. "153 appointments in 1 month & only 2 clients!" That's what my cold calling team managed earlier this year. You would think that would mean a handful of clients. Well that’s just not how the agency space works nowadays. The constant uphill battle of turning a stranger into a client is steeper than ever. It all starts with a phone call where you see a random number calling you. On the off chance they decide to answer, knowing a stranger is about to pitch Them, then you have to persuade them to take the call which they don’t want to. Finally comes the sales process where you know they are not going to close, As they know nothing about you, your company & the level of trust is non existent They say “I need to think about it” or “I can’t afford it” when in reality, They most likely just want to leave & never see you again. Outreach methods such as dms & cold calling are becoming less & less Effective as the agency space becomes more and more saturated This will leave business owners becoming increasing sceptical Making the challenge of cold outreach harder than ever before What if there was a way to have prospects coming to you?
