Unlearn.AI, founded by Charles Fisher, an AI company creating digital twins of clinical trial participants that enable smaller, faster studies, today announced a $50M Series C round led by Altimeter, joined by returning investors Radical Ventures, Wittington Ventures, Mubadala Capital, EPIC Ventures, and Necessary Ventures. This round of funding was secured to propel the company’s mission to advance AI to eliminate trial and error in medicine by investing in its people, data, engineering capabilities, and longer-term R&D initiatives. There are 6000 Contact Centres in the UK with over 812,000 people working within them and an estimated cost base of over £28.42bn. (Globally there are 18,000,000 Call Centre Workers) This industry is about to be disrupted by CCaaS AI like Thoughtly. Here are some reflections: - Companies that provide outsourced contact centres have both a major risk and a huge opportunity, but are generally old fashioned. - Companies with in-house contact centres should look to how they introduce AI to reduce costs, but also face the ethical dilemma of what to do with their people. - Small business have the opportunity to enhance their service without taking on the additional cost of customer services. - Contact centre workers should be looking closely at their long term prospects and perhaps exploring how to join the Communication Workers Union to ensure fair treatment though this evolution - Realistically, it will take a long time for this to roll out to an order of magnitude, but those that adopt it quickly could get ahead very quickly, - Finally, Companies where the CX cost if a barrier to entry, like Banking/FS, are ripe for new entrants with disruptive models. Banking platforms like The Bank of London + Thoughtly and Salesforce provide an excellent basis for market entry.

From meeting our killer sales lead David Khaydatov, pitching Will Zell and the Ohio Angel Collective, being invited to work in San Francisco with awesome founders during Pioneer's summit, meeting Gaurav Jain at his offices in South Park, setting up our tiny office in New York, hanging out with Jen Hilibrand from Greycroft, to building an epic team– the journey so far has been nothing short of life-changing.
