100% agree with this recommendation: Change the paradigm from cost savings to value creation. If you can find an answer in 1 minute, what other value could you deliver with the 3 hours and 59 minutes that you saved? And are those business processes worth $4.53???

Snowflake's Cortex serverless LLM service costs 0.5 credits($1.00 to $2.00 based on Snowflake edition) per 1M tokens to use mixtral-8x7b. It is also fully consumption based billing based on tokens used & doesn't require you to run super expensive large GPU clusters 24x7 whether you are using them or not. (Tokens are 4 character parts of the words within the prompt & answer. Total tokens used per request is about 1.3 X the number of words in your questions + the answers. On Average 1M tokens is about 770K words) Quick google search shows a single H100 GPU costs ~$30,000 and you need 4 at a minimum to host DBRX. I wonder what the TCO is for hosting a DBRX LLM on Databricks including costs for DBU, Servers, Networking, Storage, API Fees & Auditing services along with time & money spent on people with specialized skills to be able to put all these pieces together & integrate them properly in a secure & scalable manner. TCO is missing from their blog but I have a feeling it will cost a whole lot more than Snowflake and will require a ton more time to build a production-grade solution.
