Not all blog traffic is created equal. Here’s what most businesses miss when choosing topics. 👀" Let’s talk about “empty calories” in blogging. You know, like that bag of chips you eat that never actually fills you up. 🥤🍟 HubSpot once had a blog post that racked up more traffic than any other post on their site—it was about how to type the “I don’t know” emoji (¯\_(ツ)_/¯). Millions of views, tons of traffic… but guess how many people bought something after reading it? Not many. Why? Because people looking up an emoji tutorial weren’t exactly in the market for HubSpot’s software. Here’s the takeaway: Not all traffic is worth the same. When you’re brainstorming blog topics, you want to find ones that attract readers who are also potential customers. It’s not just about boosting numbers; it’s about reaching the right audience. For example, our app MOTTIV offers fun endurance race training plans, so a post on “12-Week Half Marathon Training Plan” has great value for our customers. It brings in readers who are likely training, looking for structure, and potentially interested in your product. But a post like “Who Invented Running?” might boost our domain authority, yet it won’t get us any customers. Sure, it’s interesting, but how many curious historians need a training app? If you’re just starting out, focus your blog content on topics that your target customers would actively search for. It’s like aiming a spotlight instead of shining a flashlight everywhere. When your content is directly useful, it attracts people who are already problem-solving. And those are the people who might just stick around long enough to see how your product can help. Follow for more tips on creating content that drives targeted audiences and lowers customer acquisition costs!

I need to talk about Blogbusters and clear a few things up. The Earlybird bonus for the blogging course finishes tomoro but the price doesn’t change. All it means is that after tomorrow you don’t get the free 3 month blog plan. I know that offering a lower price to begin with encourages people to get off the fence but I also know that most of the time it’s not actually the price that prevents people from signing up. It’s more usually…………. Will this work for me? But do I really need it? But will I actually use it? But is blogging really going to solve my lead generation problem? And if any of those things are stopping you from signing up here’s some sense checks to help you decide…… 👉Blogging isn’t new, it’s not a silver bullet or a magic wand. It’s a way of demonstrating your expertise and building a fan base without having to constantly jump up and down trying to get peoples attention on social media. 👉 Do you need it? Not if you’re already blogging regularly, those blogs are being read and you’re happy with your overall marketing 👉 Will you use it? It’s a week. It’s a 5 day training with lifetime access. It’s done in 5 days to help you get momentum and get it done. You get lifetime access but life happens and we all fall off the wagon from time to time. 👉 Will blogging solve your lead generation problem? Not if you don’t do it. Believe it or not blogs take less time to write than trying to constantly thing of things to post on social. And once you’ve written a blog you’ve got at least 12 social posts in it. (I show you how to do this) so that’s two based covered. Blogbusters is £499 and if you want to you can split your payments into two. If you’re thinking about it but you’re not sure send me a DM and ask me your question. If you don’t need it, I’ll tell you. I’m not so desperate for your cash that I want people paying and then not turning up. That’s miserable for me to deliver and a shit waste of money for you. Anyway the link is in the comments. 🤣

4 learnings of posting for 900 days in a row on LinkedIn. 👇 October 2021, I started posting daily on LinkedIn after a lunch with Guillaume Moubeche He said: “Just write, and post daily. It’s hard but simple” So I did. Here's 4 learnings: -- 1- Content creation is about Framework/Analysis/Consistency. I’ve set myself to post every single day (Mon-Sun). So far, I didn’t deviate. The first months were hard. - ”What am I gonna write about?” - ”Is it really useful?” - ”Why am I listening to G.?” 😅 (jk) Then, I started seeing some results. I was pumped My perspective about content creation changed completely. I progressively implemented some structure. I understood how it can impact my life over the long run. The most important here is: “Keep Writing, don’t give up” It’s a journey. -- 2- I stopped “waiting for a creative moment”. I force the creativity. I seat on my chair. I write about what I live and experiment The good and the bad Not everything I write is gonna be amazing. I also won’t post everything I write. But every piece of writing is a learning to be better at it. I remember an interview of Lil Wayne (Rapper - 211 awards nominations) A journalist asked him: “How have you been able to produce so many hits” Lil Wayne said: “I create daily and have hardwares full of junk. For 1 hit, you have 1000 songs created.” Same. I’ve a Notion full of junk. 🙃 Write. Test. Post. Repeat -- 3- It opened doors that I thought were openable. - Your clients see you daily - Your prospects see you daily - People from your industry see you daily Thanks to the content, People understand what I’m doing, What they can learn and/or get from me as a professional. I’m building my own credibility. I share my world, my adventure with them. Thanks to it, I’ve met clients, colleagues, inspiring people. But mostly, I’m helping people down the line. When I get a message saying I’ve impacted someone's business, Huge satisfaction. -- 4- Creating content is technical. At first, I didn’t have a strategy. I got some inspiration from Lara Acosta , Luke Matthews, Matt Barker , etc... I built a OK content strategy. Got fed up of it. I started working with Matt. We implemented a solid content strategy at the end of Jan 2024. In just 3 months, that strategy helped me make ~200k US. I stopped paying too much attention to the views / likes. Now I care of the posts’ impacts and how many inbound leads I generate/week. That’s it. :). - - I feel lucky to live in 2024 and be part of that booming content economy. Social Media and content creation are unfair advantages for people who dare putting the work. PS: Good luck to those who just started or are thinking to start. 💪

Why My First Blog Failed (Don't Make These Mistakes) 🚫✍️ Hey everyone! 🌟 I want to share some lessons I learned from my first blogging experience that led to its downfall. If you're starting a blog or thinking about it, avoid these common pitfalls! 1. **Lack of Niche Focus 🎯** I tried to cover everything, from cooking to tech reviews. This made it hard to attract a loyal audience. Find your niche and stick to it! 2. **Inconsistent Posting Schedule 🗓️** I started strong but quickly fell off. Consistency is key! Set a schedule that works for you and stick to it to keep readers engaged. 3. **Ignoring SEO Basics 🔍** I didn’t optimize my posts for search engines, which meant no one could find my blog. Learn some SEO basics to boost your visibility! 4. **Neglecting Engagement 💬** I didn’t respond to comments or engage with my readers. Building a community is essential! Take time to interact and foster connections. 5. **Poor Quality Content ✏️** I rushed my posts, which led to typos and weak arguments. Quality over quantity! Invest time in creating valuable content for your audience. 6. **Not Promoting My Blog 📢** I expected people to find my blog on their own. Sharing on social media and networking with other bloggers can help you grow your audience. 7. **Fear of Failure 😟** I was scared to share my blog because I worried about criticism. Creators fail product launches because of this common fear... The fear of your subscribers: → Unsubscribing. → Never buying from you. → Thinking you’re spamming them. It has been proven that more emails = more money. Top creators are sending 10-20 email launches! Here are 3 examples to learn from for your next launch 👇🏼 Before we start... Let me make one thing clear: More Emails = More Money ONLY WHEN: -> You're consistently giving free value/education to your list. <- 80+% free education/value. -20% launches/sales. Skip this step and the rest of this post means nothing 👇🏼 1) Amy Porterfield Amy Porterfield has made over $100M online. She teaches people how to start and grow their online business, and knows that the power is in the email list. Her launches are 14+ emails, containing 3-4 emails on the first and last day of the launch, and leveraging webinars. But you don't have to use webinars 👇🏼 2) Jay Clouse Jay Clouse recently made $50K+ with his CreatorHQ launch. He sent: -> 7 emails launching his product -> 10 emails pertaining to his product launch. -> Another 8+ emails where he built hype for his product (short mentions in another newsletter). Note: He actually had Amy on his podcast leading up to his launch and learned some tactics from her, but chose not to use webinars. Do your launch YOUR style. But what about 20+ emails...? 👇🏼 3) Nicolas Cole Cole shared this on X: "After 19 cohorts of Ship 30, over 10,000 students enrolled, and millions of dollars generated in revenue, we've learned something about email marketing—and I want to share it with you. Guess how many emails it takes for someone to buy? It’s not 1. It’s not 2... On average, it’s nearly 20 emails! Sometimes more.... If you are constantly giving away free education, more emails means more money. Period." Okay one last bonus 👇🏼 BONUS: Jeff Walker Jeff Walker is the mastermind / creator of PLF (Product Launch Formula). He has earned hundreds of millions launching products online (and over 1 BILLION if we include client results), and deserves his own thread... But for now I'll leave you with this quote from Jeff: "Email has generated probably 90% of my revenue since I started my first online business in 1996." Jeff believes in sending more emails, sometimes upwards of 5+ on the last day of launch.

3wTaren Gesell, You’ve made a great point about aligning content with your business goals. By creating content that speaks directly to potential customers, you can drive more meaningful interactions and boost sales. Plus, focusing on your ideal audience will help build trust and lower costly marketing efforts.
