AI won’t write you great content out of the box. In fact, it’ll probably write terrible content unless you do this. 🤖 When it comes to using AI for content creation, the biggest mistake I see is expecting it to churn out great content on its own. Spoiler alert: it won’t. Here’s why: AI doesn’t inherently know how to write senior-level content. Out of the box, it’s just compiling the averages of everything that’s already been written about a topic. That means it’s generic by nature—and generic content won’t rank, convert, or help your audience. So how do you use AI effectively? By training it. Here’s how I think about AI’s power: it can take the work of a junior-level team member and elevate it to the level of a high mid-level or low senior-level team member. But for that to happen, you need to teach it what senior-level content looks like. For example, our blog writing process starts with a prompt that’s about 20 pages long. It includes: - The headers we want included - Keywords to include - How long sentences and paragraphs should be - How many lists to use and where to use them - Where to insert bold text - And most importantly: our senior-level advice on the topic Creating that prompt took us around 20 hours, but the result? A blog post that used to take 6 hours to write now takes just 60 minutes—and can be done by junior-level team members. The lesson? If you don’t train your employees, you get bad results. If you don’t train your AI, you’ll get bad results too. AI isn’t a replacement for expertise—it’s a tool to amplify it. Use it wisely, and it can transform your content creation process while maintaining quality. 🚀 Tag your marketing person if you think they’d find this interesting—they might just thank you for it! 👇
