Reflecting on the Springboks’ tough 28-29 loss against the Pumas, some hard questions need to be asked about team selection and overall performance. While much attention is on the missed kick, the issues ran deeper: poor lineouts, shaky game management, and kicking away possession far too often. These small mistakes compounded, putting the Boks under pressure when they shouldn’t have been. Allowing the Pumas back into the game is always risky, especially against a team that will punish you for it.
