December is like the Sunday of months ☺️ It’s my favourite time of the year, because I get to take my no-guilt, no-work, no-distraction annual break, to rest, recuperate and rejuvenate. And the best way of doing it? Travel!! I have visited over 20 countries in my 38 years, and I have learnt one thing: there is NOTHING that teaches you more about yourself, than travel. Because seeing more of the world fills you with hope, love, light and joy. Big cheers to Niyo for this timely initiative, that’s pushing people to take a break. In a world pushing people to work 70 hours a week, so great to see a company normalizing the value of rest ❤️ #NiyoTravelBreak

Life has a way of slowing us down, doesn’t it? It’s like nature and society team up to remind us to pause. Nature gives us the night to rest, while society gives us weekends to step away from work or school. For me, I’ve always had this habit of taking personal retreats. But I’ll be honest—it’s been a while since I last did one. Recently, I decided to change that. Last week, I was in Turkey for a personal retreat, and it was exactly what I needed. That quiet time gave me space to clear my head, reflect, and set priorities—both personal and professional. It felt so good to pause, step away from the noise, and just focus on me. I’ve realized that rest isn’t just about lying down; it’s about intentional moments to recharge and realign. Whether it’s taking a walk, journaling, or just sitting with my thoughts, those pauses make a world of difference. Wishing you a restful Sunday 𝘝𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘢 𝘈𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘤𝘬-𝘔𝘶𝘺𝘶 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘏𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘵𝘩 𝘌𝘷𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘴𝘵 So, I’m curious • what do you do to slow down? • Have you ever taken time out just for yourself? #RestDay #SundayVibes #TheHealthEvangelist #PersonalDevelopment #TheLinkedInEdgeChallengeWithInneh #elevateyourprofessionalpresencewith_Amaka

Vivek Thakur, a part of the Compliance Team, shares his out-of-office passion for traveling, and here’s what he has to say about it: In his free time, Vivek Thakur enjoys spontaneous bike rides to religious places. These unplanned journeys are more than just a passion—they’re his way of recharging and finding clarity. It’s during these rides that he reconnects with his inner self, step back from daily chaos, and gains a sense of balance. They bring peace and rejuvenation, and professionally, they help him return with fresh focus and energy to handle challenges with a clearer mind. These moments remind him of the importance of stepping away to come back stronger. Because sometimes, the best journeys are the ones that take you back to yourself.🙌 #equentisresearchandranking #employeebranding #travel #outofofficepassion #outofoffice

What else? 🧐🤔 My daughter, Bunga Apriliandari told me yesterday if she took bus and other public transportation to go to work and vise versa. Each trip took almost 2 hours with more economical fares, compared to riding motorbike, ordered through online apps that cost more than 10 times, although it took only about 25 minutes. She was considering saving money was the main intention and as the trip time was not really the main concern. She left for work earlier than usual to be punctual. I supported her decision and asked her to just enjoy the trip. I gave her encouragement to her intention to: 😍 think about what she could do to make the long hours trip is not boring 🔰 read a book to kill the time 😅 think about meeting different people 🥰 think about the interesting spots along the way 🤔 think about taking some exercise unintentionally that make her mood & energy level up. - 🚶🏻♀️➡️walking to bus stop nearby, - 🏃🏽♀️➡️ chasing the bus when in hurry, - ⬆️ getting in and ⬇️ getting off the bus. 🧐😍 She is now looking forward to taking bus and other public transportation when realizing she would have more enjoyments and benefits than she thought 😅😂 🥹 We sometimes just act normally when we don’t realize the benefits for switching our ordinary habits, even a bit. If we know the benefits, we are more likely to have more eagerness and think about what else could be done better 😍😋 Happy Thursday My Friends!🥰 Keep 🏃🏽♀️➡️🏃🏻♂️➡️, although you just started, consistency is the key for improvement 😅 #growthmindset #support #encouragement #change

I’M BACK, here’s what I missed out🌴💻 As you may know, I was in Turkey for the week 🇹🇷 It was a nice holiday with my mum where I: -soaked up the sun -swam & read a lot -had client calls by the pool -had incredible food and cocktails -met amazing people But there was one thing I truly missed… Working. I’ve had a nice, well deserved break. But it’s time to get back in the flow in my career I truly love! Taking time off is not just about relaxation or a change of scenery. It's a chance to reflect, recharge and reassess our goals. It provides our minds with a much-needed pause from the craze of our careers. I've found that stepping back, even for a little while, can bring a surprising amount of clarity. 💬 So, have you taken a break recently? Yesterday I: - checked in with clients - had 2 meetings - took an hour to respond to all my LinkedIn messages - had a much needed gym session 💬 Do you come back from your holidays feeling refreshed, and ready to get back to work? #MentalHealth #WorkLifeBalance #CareerGoals #PersonalGrowth #CareerJourney #careerdevelopment #MindsetCoach #PersonalDevelopment #Mindset #CareerChange #travel

#whyIlikemyjob – because I get to travel with my clients to the most beautiful places! Let me rewind and start with a cheesy calendar quote: our mind is a beautiful thing. But sometimes it can be an 🍑hole, too. It drives us around and around and around the roundabout, not once taking a f****** exit. It’s exhausting. But to be fair it might do this because it’s scared of making the wrong decision and ultimately wants to protect you from something you might have (un)consciously experienced before. So like everyone who is scared, your brain might need a helping hand. Creating sensory images could be that hand. And a coach maybe as well 🙃 This is how I get to travel all over around the world, from small towns in Canada and beautiful mountains in Austria to patios in Morocco and clear blue waters in Greece, right back to homey kitchen scenes. I can smell the freshly baked bread, feel the sun on my face and hear the rushing water from a waterfall. And my clients do too. It’s such an intimate invitation you can give yourself and that could be the holding hand moving forward. A resource that can help calm down your nervous system and maybe even make it possible to take an exit → What pops up into your mind when you think of a place that makes you feel good? #mentalhealth #resources

The World Happiness Report 2024 is out! Again, the #Nordic countries are winning the #happiness race. 🚀 No. 1 #Finland (has held onto its top ranking for seven years straight!) No. 2 #Denmark No. 3 #Iceland No. 4 #Sweden No. 7 #Norway It's probably wise to be suspicious of the definition of "Happiness". Let's call it "high life satisfaction". 𝙎𝙬𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙨𝙝 𝙒𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨: 𝘼 𝙈𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙝 𝙤𝙛 𝙍𝙚𝙢𝙤𝙩𝙚 𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙠, 𝙍𝙚𝙛𝙡𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙨𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 Today I was hiking and sparring for 18 km with Nancy Vermeulen 🚀 on my upcoming Sweden adventure. I have a deep love for nature. Long hikes in stunning landscapes bring me joy and clarity. I also value the freedom to work where I want, when I want, and on what I want. This October 10 to November 8, I’ve decided to combine these passions. I’ll be working from a peaceful cabin in the forests and lakes around Sunne, Sweden. For one month, I’ll focus on both my business and personal growth in this serene environment. 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗶𝗻 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲? Working remotely in nature offers incredible benefits: • 𝗘𝗻𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗙𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀: The calmness of nature helps you concentrate and get more done. • 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝘀𝘁: Beautiful surroundings can spark new ideas. • 𝗕𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸-𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲: Take breaks to hike or simply enjoy the peaceful setting. • 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵: Nature provides a perfect space for reflection and self-improvement. 𝗝𝗼𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 ... I’m inviting you to join me in Sweden for a 3- or 5-day stay. Longer stays are also possible. Whether you want to work on your business, yourself, or both, this is the perfect setting. 𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝗜𝘀 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗙𝗼𝗿? • 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀: Refine your strategy or tackle new challenges. • 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗱𝘂𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗦𝗲𝗲𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲: Reflect on your life and plan your next steps. • 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗟𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀: Combine your passion for the outdoors with focused work. This month in Sweden is a journey of growth. If you’re ready to recharge, refocus, and transform, join me.
