When #hurricanes make landfall, it can be baffling to see the variety of wind damage in the same city, especially when one area experiences more damage than another, similar area. Now, using a hi-res model, scientists are simulating what happens to hurricane winds when they hit complex urban landscapes– and the results are exciting. Created by a research team from NSF NCAR and the University of Miami led by Christopher Rozoff, the new simulations show how structures generate distinct wind patterns, tunneling and amplifying winds in urban canyons between buildings while contributing to weaker winds downstream. 🌀 Do your research, here is an extensive list of Weather Modification Patents: https://lnkd.in/e3stmVvf Something is off with Hurricane Helene, unlike Ian which slowed down and adjusted its path changing directions & adjusting before its path of distruction, Helene sped up along the FL Gulf Coast arriving in N Carolina, causing untold flood damage, even in mountain areas. So, what is really going on here, yet again! #DEW #HAARP #GeoEngineering #WeatherModification #Ian #Helene #Lithium #WeHaveItAll 🇺🇸 🙏 ☘️

This kind of video was first seen in 2018 where 3D artist from The Weather Channel during Hurricane Florence showcased an incredible forward-thinking approach in weather forecasting. The interactive visuals enhance the forecaster's descriptions, making the impact of severe weather more tangible. This now finds practical usefulness today showing the potential implications of Hurricane Milton. Seeing this level of visualization emphasizes the importance of taking evacuation notices seriously. This innovative approach to weather visualization can significantly benefit Africa by enhancing public awareness and understanding of severe weather events. By using interactive graphics to illustrate forecasts, communities can better grasp the potential impact of storms, floods, and droughts, leading to more effective preparedness and timely evacuation efforts. Improved communication can ultimately save lives and reduce the economic toll of extreme weather in vulnerable regions. check out the first video here: https://lnkd.in/g6uJ9XwW #Hurricane #HurricaneMilton #HurricaneHelen #TTAF #TalkTechAfrica The Weather Channel #weather #StormSurge #FloridaStorm

https://lnkd.in/euenNpct This is a very powerful way of communicating the dangers posed by coastal storm surges such as those which are predicted to be generated by 𝐇𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐞 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐭𝐨𝐧. A few years ago we carried out a small study using an agent-based loss of life model looking at the risk to life posed by a 𝐜𝐨𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐁𝐫𝐮𝐧𝐬𝐰𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐞𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐚 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐔𝐒𝐀. The results were very sobering. A paper on this study can be downloaded here: https://lnkd.in/e72u-kQd #Milton #hurricane #surge
