I created a TikTok account with 54k followers and will no longer post on it again. When I started talking about customer success on TikTok, that's all I wanted the account to be about. Not about my challenges/goals/personal updates. Just customer success. That account has helped thousands of people learn about the tech industry; it's motivated a wave of people to pivot into the field and, my personal favorite... A lot of these folks come from underrepresented minorities. The account did its job 🫶🏽 On a personal level, creating that account taught me so many things and helped me practice skills. Thanks to it: 1. I become more confident in front of a camera 2. I learned how to create and edit videos 3. I sharpened my storytelling skills 4. I saw the power of community building 5. I learned how to ask for money (hello, sponsorships 💰) Oh, speaking of... That account brought in nearly $60k!!! It has been an important part of my growth journey, and now I'm ready for my next TikTok chapter. So, I started a NEW account! This one is a bit more broad. I want to share things like my funky career path, working through the "stuck" phases in life, and what life looks like as a food-loving co-parent who wants to make new friends (in their mid-30s). Yeah... broad 😅 I want this to be fun, creative, and engaging (those are my KPIs). See you all around ✌️

Today marks my last day at Tiktok after two incredible years. I'm leaving after $50m in ad spend and achieving 130% to goal. I've had the pleasure of working with some of my favorite apps and brands: - 9Count - Gametime - SoundCloud - Reddit - FuboTV - Keen - Hallow - Discord - Philo And so many more! I developed a strategy that has helped these brands scale from $0 to over $100,000 per day in profitable ad spend - and changing the entire social strategy. After seeing my success, Tiktok had me teach my strategy to over 100 employees. This same strategy guide is now approved by the product team and shared across the company. After using these strategies to hit 130% of goal and nearly burning out in the process, I'll never forget being told by a leader: "We can't wait to see what you do when you're focused on your job." At that moment, I realized that chasing someone else's goals will never be good enough. To my amazing colleagues and clients at Tiktok: Thank you for the unforgettable experiences and incredible support. It was a privilege to work with some of the most intelligent people I've ever met. Now, it's time to chase my own goals. I'll have the freedom to return to fighting professionally, making music, and maybe even take up some TV opportunities that were thrown my way. And I'll still be working with brands through an upcoming project that I can't wait to announce. 🚀✨
