Low Earth Orbit satellite networks offer connectivity that's, well, out of this world. Yet, like any terrestrial network, they're not immune to packet loss, latency, and the like. VeloCloud SD-WAN's DMPO feature is designed to iron out these wrinkles, even in space – by seamlessly integrating satellite with fixed-line, cellular, and other types of connections. LEO can be a shining star in your broader connectivity constellation. https://bit.ly/3xLa1uG

Some thoughts on the new era of direct-to-handset connectivity, via Low Earth Orbit Satellite. I look at this through the context of a basic SWOT Analysis. There are many advantages to effectively putting your Cell Towers in Space. But also some potential downsides. Connecting the 2.6 Billion people that don't have the Internet, to the Internet, is a personal passion. However, there are also potential downsides which I consider.

Whether in low-Earth orbit (LEO), medium-Earth orbit (MEO), or geostationary orbit (GEO), #satellites experience specific conditions directly related to their orbital path, such as high Doppler shift, frequency handovers, long signal delay, and high path loss. The Maury Microwave ACE9600 Advanced Channel Emulator of the dBm Channel Emulation product line enables engineers to thoroughly test and optimize the performance of satellite communications systems designed for LEO, MEO, or GEO by reproducing each satellite orbit’s unique aspects. Learn how the ACE9600 meets the testing needs of satellite systems: https://hubs.la/Q02TKNNJ0 #SatelliteCommunications #SatelliteNetworks #TestAndMeasurement

5G low orbit satellites are my biggest health concern. Biological harm from EMFs has been proven in studies to be caused by absorbed radiation (from the EMFs), not the waves passing through us. This is why I'm so concerned with our biggest threat being the low orbit 5G satellites, which are increasing exponentially. The signal originating in space is so strong it could kill us (Google what happens if birds fly over a ships radar). By the time a slight fraction of that signal reaches earth, the vast majority of it has been absorbed by earth and every being on it. Studies are showing disruption in birds migratory patterns and in bees tied to 5G. No long term safety data has been studied. Please watch this deeply concerning video of where we are and where things are going. Like, comment, share, and most importantly set up a free EMF evaluation. https://lnkd.in/eW8f8ztP

Ever been frustrated by slow data speeds? Imagine waiting hours for crucial satellite data! That's exactly what inspired the founding of Lumen Orbit (YC S24). Three brilliant minds—Ezra Feilden, Philip Johnston, and Adi Oltean—joined forces in December to tackle this issue. With $2.4M in new funding, they aim to revolutionize satellite downlink times by processing data in space. Ezra’s words sum it up perfectly: “I’ve been in the control room waiting hours for satellite data. Most of our satellites are disconnected most of the time.” Their solution? A game-changer for the space industry. How do you deal with slow data speeds?
