TALiNT Partners’ Post

𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗪𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝘂𝗻𝗻𝘆, 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮 𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗼𝘆𝘀 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯 𝗵𝗮𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸 - 𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝟭𝟬-𝟭. …..for those of us who remember, this was a message we looked forward to every Monday morning as it heralded an update on the news from the staffing industry, lovingly curated and delivered, in his own inimitable style by David Head, who retires from TALiNT Partners at the end of this year. And while the comings and goings of what goes on in Woking have been consigned to the dim and distant past, David's legacy and his impact on the industry he has been an important part of for 37 years, will endure. David has been an advocate and a champion for the industry from the very beginning. Indeed, when I was actively involved in running recruitment businesses the only two events I made a point of attending were World Leaders in Recruitment and the Recruitment International awards. Their appeal was simple: I knew I would enjoy being in a room full of my peers and, especially with World Leaders, I would come away with a better understanding of what was shaping the recruitment industry. Having said that, I also remember at one particular awards event, a very famous cricketer making a sexist joke in his after-dinner speech and being 'robustly challenged' by more than one of the female leaders in the audience. I doubt he made that mistake again! And again, women in leadership in the staffing industry is something David has championed for over 25 years. World Leaders is an event that has gone from strength to strength and the Recruitment International awards were the bedrock of the TIARAs which have grown into the largest global series of award campaigns across the talent ecosystem. But David has offered so much over the years: he has been a confidant, adviser, and friend to many industry leaders and has a reputation for integrity and decency that is simply unrivalled; and he has been an important part of the TALiNT Partners' journey since 2018 and I am proud to have had him as a colleague. David will continue to be an ambassador for our business and I'm sure we've not seen the last of him, but for now, please join everyone at TALiNT Partners in wishing David a long and happy retirement.
